It is time for people to learn that there are consequences for the actions they take. Regardless of who made you mad, the law does not give you right to entrap and assault someone. If you are mad at someone and want to fight, get the gloves and get into the ring.

I don't condone physical violence, but it you feel that you should fight at least do it one on one. Poor child never had a chance. If she would have tried to fight back they probably would have killed her.

2nd paragraph: "Many of the teens' families say they will have problems raising the money."

Apparently, they had problem raising their CHILDREN, too! This was absolutely ridiculous, and I was expecting their bail to be much higher...IF they got it at all!

Their parents NEED to let their little bad a$$e$ roast in jail for a while so their cellmate Hildegard can teach them a lesson!

And did you hear one of those little heifers telling the girl she was beating up, "He cheated on you with me!" So not only are you a kidnapper, and an assaulter, but also a little $lut? Where does it end....

I hope our wonderful court system has the guts to ensure these nuts are convicted and serve time in jail. Of course some slick lawyer will probably get them off.

I was thinking the same thing! The Judge should have let their crazy behinds stay in jail without bail! How is house arrest even considered for these fast girls! You will see even more leniency in this case if the Judge is a mason or a Greek sorority member and these girls have family members who are also part of these groups. These groups do a secret handshake or hand gesture and they get off scott free or receive light penalties! These girls are old enough to nearly kill another girl and should be tried and locked up in prison as adults and not given the option of bail.

They shouldn't make bond. I have a 17-year-old and if she took part in this, her butt would stay in jail. There is no way I would bond her out. If we keep bailing out kids out of the trouble they get themselves in, they will never learn. And this is especially bad because they were relentless and the girl wasn't fighting back. How heartless! I will always love my daughter but if she pulled this crap, I definitely wouldn't help her get out of it. She would get a public defender even because I'm not going to finance helping her get out of paying for the crime she committed.

I completely agree! If they help these girls get out of paying the consequences for their actions, it will escalate and how will they feel when those girls kill someone one day??? In my opinion, the victim is lucky to be alive. They could have caused internal injuries that could have cost her life. My girls know if you do the crime, don't even think about calling me because I'm not helping. You do it, you pay the consequences for it. That's how my parents raised me and I have never been in trouble with the law.

Easier said than done, when there's 8 of them and 1 of you.

Prison it should be for those girls . They think they are so tough and find it humerous to record well...They can act as tough as they want sitting in prison. See who is so tough now !

Those brats should get the max time for what they did. there is no sense in beating someone.. especially over a guy. They shouldn't have even got a bond!!

$37,000 bond means that you post 10%, or $3,700. Kind of low, don't you think? It would almost be humorous for the victim's father to post bond for Miss Britni, and give her a small dose of what she dished out. But, that would not be the right thing to do, I suppose. However, it would be ironic.

These kids are getting a slap on the wrist. Some of the parents arent any better, one mother made the comment that the victim shouldnt have written things on her myspace page about the attackers. STUPID!!

If they had been black they would still be in jail but I am surprised that the incident has received so much publicity and that they are being punished at all. Crime happens everywhere and that is understood however the punishment is not evenly distrubuted....remember Jena?
