I certainly hope so..if there is a heaven. If there is, that's where they are. I know many beloved critters that deserve it far more than many people I have known.

If anyone can show me one passage of scripture from any reasonable religious book, The Bible, The Torah, heck, I'll even take the Koran, that shows me where animals go to heaven, I'll be extremely impressed.

Underhay, that wasn't funny, unless you can find me a reasonable book that covers religion without bashing it, as you are sooo fond of doing.

If I'm not mistaken, God told Noah to build an ark and to take two of every kind of animal. The Bible states that God made everything so I think you have a credible answer.

But, God don't say animals go to heaven......human beings only, so animals have the holy spirit??? Will the animal have to be saved to make it to heaven? BE REAL.......

Actually, no one goes to heaven.

It doesn't exist. Nor does Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, nor the Easter Bunny.

Heaven, in its thousands of forms across time was created, by man, as a way to deny his mortality.

I fully understand faith and the faithful's positions. But there have been "faithful" for centuries before the Christian god was invented.

Coherent thought doesn't seem to be your strong point so I'll have to guess at what you're asking.

The Bible is a book written entirely by men. The books that are in the Bible were hand chosen to fit a certain agenda of the time and it was assembled in the 4th century under the rule of Constantine. The 66 books of the bible actually started out under Constantine as 80 books, but was cut to 66 during the Protestant Reformation which gave us the King James version. The Christian religion as practiced today is as different from what was practiced by the Apostles as a modern supermarket is to a farmer in 400 AD selling figs.

History exists outside of the Bible. Sorry to bother you with the facts.

You go nowhere. When your chemical processes stop, so do you.

Yes there is such a thing as right and wrong. They exist as definitions by man. Just like God & heaven.

If it is all just "chemical processes" - what is consciousness?

All I "know" is that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only transformed from one form to another. So, what do we "transform" into? Who knows. But, I do not believe that whatever it is that makes us, "us," simply ceases to be. It does not make sense even from a scientific standpoint.

Utter nonsense. Simply ceasing makes perfect sense. Logically and scientifically.

Consciousness is an electro-chemical process. It can be turned off quite easily.

You are correct about energy. What makes us, "us", is our individual unique electrochemical processes inside the brain. There is no magic spectral force sitting in there that flutters away upon our death. There is only complex sets of chemical and electrical responses that stop working. All of the energy that drives those processes merely becomes potential energy returned to the dirt, or if cremated, transformed into heat energy. There's not a great deal hard to understand about that part of the life cycle.

I realize that neither of us is going to convince the other, but I don't believe that after we die we just cease to be. I just don't. I believe it for various reasons, most of which you would probably chalk up to "coincidence" etc.

I have asked myself if my belief is just because I don't WANT there to be nothing after death, and there is a part of that in there, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't. Beyond that, it just does not FEEL right that there is NOTHING of myself that does not live on after my physical death. I do not believe that we have "self-awareness" or "consciousness" or whatever you want to call it because of some random series of chemical processes. There is just too much that had to be JUST RIGHT for it all to be coincidence.

I do not really believe in the heaven/hell of the Christian religion, but whatever happens it is not "nothing."
