Defense: 'Stand you ground' should apply to intruder who killed man in apartment

A South Carolina Supreme Court order has brought a Columbia murder trial to a screeching halt after the alleged gunman's attorney argued the state's 'stand your ground' law should be invoked because his client feared for his own life after breaking into another man's apartment.

I think I am going to puke! This beats everything! If they broke into my house they would NOT have to worry about their defense strategy!

lol, i agree NATIVE... however, read the story the courts are not considering his stupid defense. they are considering when a lower court can reject such a pathetic defense. from what I understand the person killed was attempting to do just what you posted. trust me he will get his. but the fact that this killer is attempting to get off by using such a defense is in itself a crime.
