Why don't people just slow down. Every time it rains I think some get crazy in the head and start speeding. Most people are running late to work or home. Just leave early... I leave a good 20 minute early every morning to get on Fort Jackson. Hope no one was hurt real bad.

It's not just the speeders that are causing the accidents. It's the combination of the speeders and the people that think it's safer to drive 15 mph on the interstate that is causing the accidents

Get off the cell phones and drive responsibly. This includes doing the speed limit.

It's the speeding, tailgating, improper lane changing, cell phone using dumba$$es. Period.

"Investigators say Battle was driving too fast for conditions, lost control, and crossed a median into the southbound lane. That's where Battle's Pontiac struck Weston's Chevy head-on, and then struck Rawls' Mazda on the right front side, troopers say."
Thought this accident happened on the NORTHBOUND side.... how about proofreading articles before you post them.
Prayers for the victims for a quick recovery and for Battle to learn to slow down ESPECIALLY when conditions warrant slower travel.

Was there no barrier in the median at this location? The guard rail in the median could have minimized the damage of this careless driver!

I KNEW IT! i KNEW speed was going to be the cause. slow down people. studies have found that going 10 miles over the speed limit only decreases your travel time by 5 minutes. is 5 minutes worth your life?

The accident definitely occurred in the northbound lane.

If you can't at least drive 55, get the heck off the highway! Those slow drivers in the left lane are the whole reason why the Malfunction Junction traffic backs up so bad! Because there's some stupidass way up ahead who is holding back ALL that traffic. Then they wonder why people go around them and give them dirty looks and the finger. As far as speed goes, hardly anybody drives the speed limit anymore. If you get on the interstate and go the limit, you'll be the one getting those dirty looks and fingers. It's the people who go 80-90 mph and the ones talking on their cell phones that are causing these bad wrecks. Hope everyone heals well from this one and no one has any permanent injuries.
