No one wants to think their child is having sex at 12-14 years of age, but it is happening and has been happening forever. Doesn't mean it it right, certainly it is not healthy, but it happens. The kids are to blame, not the chaperones.... unless someone proves that the kids were totally unsupervised, but what I am reading indicates that the kids left the room after bed check and knew there were in the wrong.... Suffer the consequences and Parents, be Parents, punish them again at home!!!

Why should the chaperones be punished? They weren't the ones sneaking around having sex. Kids are going to do what they want to do and ain't no one can stop them.

As always it's the parents fault. Good morals start at home. You don't learn good morals in school or on the street. Kids behave the way their parents let them.

Let me guess, you would have done a better job? Did you read, It said the were SNEAKING OUT OF THEIR ROOMS. Let me guess you sleep light as a feather and you would have heard them? You children don't do any wrong because you have your eye on them constantly? yeah right. What an ignorant comment to make.

By the time a child is about 10 they know all about sex. Parents have to stop enabling their children and making excuses up for them. You don't allow your kids to go on an overnight field trip unless you can be there with them. You are their parents nobody else.

This is just crazy. I feel that trips like these should be same sex trips. I do not think boys and girls should go on a trip like this together. Even thought boys sleep in another room there still is the temptation that the other sex is accross the hall. We all know that parnets or any other person can not keep and eye on a child all the time

The girl's parents should be embarrassed being that the girls'snuck into the boy's rooms. What were the boys to do? Turn it down? I don't think so.

There you go...it's all Hitler's fault. Are you sure you don't want to blame Mother Teresa? Hitler was male.

Not really sure how this situation makes the chaperones ignorant. All of the blame needs to be put where it belongs...on the students. Why would this be the fault of the chaperones when it took place after lights out? If these kids cannot be trusted to behave themselves on a field trip, the parents should keep them home and teach them how to behave. Wait...they probably do this at home too. Maybe the parents should be charged.

I have been a chaperone on several trips. We are volunteers who are there to ensure your childs safety and well being.Sneeking out in middle of the night.Thats a parenting issue, you did'nt teach them any better.Shame on you,we can't watch your kid 24/7 so you need blame someone loook in the mirror.I have kids they take responsibility for thier actions.

You are right. People have to raise their kids right. Who goes on an overnight trip mixing boys and girls in this day and age ? Blame the girls ?
Oh come one, did they boys kick and scream because they didn't want the girls in their room ?

you rite they are and they start younger than this its not a surprise. Alot of kids do this on their trip without anybody knowing it. The question is why this girl told her mother on everybody, if she can't sneak or going to have a guilty concious then don't do it and don't bring other people down with you. Thats why its best to hang solo sometimes. WRAP IT UP KIDS

Most of the time, it is the little harlots who do the sneaking out and pursue sex with the boys. These parents are mad at the chaperones but should be mad and disappointed with their own daughters. What kind of little sluts are these parents raising anyway?

they must not be too embarrassed-they are on local news channels broadcasting what their "saintly little children" did while unsupervised properly on a school sponsored trip. the parents need to hold the teenagers responsible, not the chaperones. those girls knew exactly what they were doing when they were sneaking around in the middle of the night.
