I decided to give London Broil another shot.
It worked out great. Get your pan or coils good & hot. Sear the thing on boths sides, let it rest, and serve it rare.(after slicing it real thin.)
I marinated it first in Ken's Herb Marinade.

Cooked crock pot bbq yesterday.
Good food all weekend.

I'm eating bbq sandwiches for a few days.
Fine by me. I made some pretty decent slaw to go with the bbq.

I just had to try all of the different things offered. That's why I did the buffet.
Food on the menu was same price as buffet. But, I promise I'll order off the menu next time.

Based on that price you must have eaten at the Fair.
If you were going to eat at the fair couldn't you have at least done better than a corn dog? lol

The couple that we dined with was from PA and did the buffet. They loved it. It's quite an experience to see a man over 60 trying collards for the first time. LOL

Don't forget that we were also hungry and too impatient to wait for the food to be cooked. We practically ran over our waitress as we jumped up from the table and ran to the buffet after we gave her our drink orders.

So. When's next time?:-)

You should have seen LXC's reaction when I introduced her to fried okra and hushpuppies for the first time. Their now staples on her diet. In fact she rates restaurants based on how good their hushpuppies are.

You've heard of foods that are sweet and sour, but one culinary attraction at the 2010 State Fair is enough to test anyone's palette: a Krispy Kreme hamburger.

The gut buster has been making the rounds at state fairs and ballparks around America, but this is its debut at South Carolina's fair.

"A lot of the fairs are doing it now," said Cheryl Reese, one of the traveling vendors selling the burger.

As you'd imagine, two glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts serve as the buns. Inside is a fried meat patty, cheese, onions, pickles, bacon, and lettuce.

The total calorie count: over 1,000.

"Everyone tends to have a lot of the same foods out here, so you gotta kind of come up with something innovative," Resse said.

And with that calorie count, this probably isn't a food you want to eat more than once in a day--unless you're really bold.

"A lot of people get it, and cut it in half with a knife, to share it to see if they like it," Reese explains. "(But) I've had people come and eat two to three during the fair."

I think I'll pass on the donut burger.
Does not sound appetizing at all. Even if it didn't have 1,000 calories+ I wouldn't eat it.
BUT....
To eat at the state fair & only get a Corndog???
You should be ashamed of yourself Underhay.

I've started calling her 'Clay'.
She doesn't like that.
