everyone says the folks that set the futures are to blame, but i'm not so sure. the ceo's are in cahoots with the folks in the futures game. it's all a scam to bilk the people at the pump. they know what they are doing, and it's legalized theivery....

After a morning of burning down gas stations, she stopped at Starbucks for a coffee break. She saw that Starbucks charges as much as the gas stations....she's on a roll...why stop now?

I guess if she couldn't have it, no one could. What a waste.

I mean the coffee, of course.

Maybe this could be the plot for Falling Down II....but, aren't those logs kind of expensive...maybe she should have saved that $ to buy gas & coffee!

Moron. If the prices bother her so much, don't buy it. Ride a bike. Setting it on fire will just make prices higher at that particular station. I hate stupid people.

You are all morons. Oil prices are set by a World market by the highest bidder. India and China are now buying oil for their billions of people that are now driving cars push up demand and left wing politicians refuse to drill for new oil and prohibit building nuclear power plants. What do you expect would happen.

Likely because they are not closet socialists, that believe every piece of crap that comes out of the mouths of their liberal/socialist heroes. Turn off the television and actually read about the process from an unbiased source. India is producing a car for around $3,000, brand new. All their people will have one, no emission control, or high labor costs. Pretty soon we will all be walking, so as to not offend the liberal environmentalists, whose real goal is the removal of humans from the earth.

Congressman Roy Blunt put together these data to highlight the differences between House Republicans and House Democrats on energy policy:

ANWR Exploration

House Republicans: 91% Supported

House Democrats: 86% Opposed

Coal-to-Liquid
House Republicans: 97% Supported
House Democrats: 78% Opposed

Oil Shale Exploration
House Republicans: 90% Supported
House Democrats: 86% Opposed

Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Exploration
House Republicans: 81% Supported
House Democrats: 83% Opposed

Refinery Increased Capacity
House Republicans: 97% Supported
House Democrats: 96% Opposed

SUMMARY

91% of House Republicans have historically voted to increase the production of American-made oil and gas.

86% of House Democrats have historically voted against increasing the production of American-made oil and gas.

PAUL adds: It's useful to keep this sort of thing in mind when we hear (on something like a daily basis these days) that the Republicans have run out of ideas or that Republican ideas didn't work. The truth is that most major Republican ideas weren't tried because the Democrats blocked them. Increasing the domestic production of oil and gas (a move so obvious it barely meets the standard for being an idea) is hardly the only example. Social security reform and school choice also come quickly to mind. Republican-backed policies for increasing the number of Americans with health insurance were also blocked by Democrats. And so forth.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
