It is with profound sorry that I read this article
about Deputy Carl Pringle. I've had many contacts
with Carl over the years working as Payroll Manager for Sumter County. Carl was a wonderful
man with such a good humor and a zest for life. My sympathy goes out to His family and Sumter County Sheriff Department.

Does anyone on here know where th accident happened? I know it was on Cainsmill Rd but Cainsmill is a very long road.
I am wondering because there is a very dangerous curve on that road. A number of very serious accidents have happened in one particular spot. More than one or two fatalities there. It seems the curve should be reconfigured.
I'm just curious if it happened at that same curve near the Pinewood Road where the school teacher was killed a couple of years ago.
It is sad no matter where it happened.

Sorry to hear the loss.

Im a bit confused about this ordeal.
I find it hard to believe and officer of the law just loses control of his vehicle.

LEO's are trained drivers and have many hours in driving courses to hone their driving skills for pursuits and such.

Curious to what the reasons were for this accident.

Did he have a medical issue>? I.E. Heart attack/Stroke?
Did he fall asleep @ the wheel?
Were any toxocology reports done?

Not trying to be negative , just trying to understand what happened that led to an accident that took this mans life.
The article lacks any detail.

Read my post #10. There is a really, really bad curve on that road. I wonder if it happened there? I guess he could have fallen asleep. They probably didn't have any more details yet.

The accident was on the block of Cains Mill Rd in between Kolb Road and Pinewood road he was going toward bethel church road. it didn't happen on the curves of cains mill rd. I know this because his car landed in my front yard after hitting my neighbor's culvert of her driveway.
