My youngest son is a now a pastor in Florida but knew Pastor Mark when they were in the same district in Ohio.

My son called me and we discussed this tragedy, trying to console our disbelief that something like this could happen so close to people we know and especially to a pastor's family. There are many "why"s" that will never be answered to anyone's satisfaction.

Our prayers go out to the family, friends, and church members as they try to rebuild their shattered lives from this terrible event. They need prayer, love, and understanding more than ever now.

God is just another excuse for a blameless society.
Wake up you idiots and take control of your lives. Your invisible man isn't capable of caring for you. Heck, he can't even make a decent world for us to live in.
If this world is an example of some of his best work then he has failed miserably.
Proceed with caution...HE may just honor your request and "create a decent world for us to live in" by removing blasphemers such as yourself.

And maybe you should watch yourself. I may just talk to The Great Juju and you will know his wrath.

What will become of this world will be at our hands and doing.

You can't blame GOD for the mess that we humans have made of the world and each other. A loving Father gives His children everything they need to live healthy and happily, and we have totally trashed it all.

Preacher's children are always the worst...they have so much pressure on them.
Hey now, I'm a preachers daughter and I turned out all right. Though growing up was a little dificult because I will admit, there was a lot of pressure to be almost perfect and I didn't think kids still called people goody- two shoes. That phrase is completely outdated but someone managed to pull that one out. I just laughed at them. I know I'm not perfect. I get drunk like every weekend and it's nothing to be proud of but I would never go to the extent of even thinking about killing someone. This kid I think has a mental instability that was not noticed before.

Serves them right. Religious zealots and 9mm semi's don't mix, period. Maybe your precious "GOD" was sending you a message about guns.

Or maybe that kid got sick of living with the f'n Flanders and lost it after realizing that religion and all their nonsensical bible-thumping BS is a big fat lie.

I'm betting on the latter.

Religion and nonsensical bible thumping IS a big fat lie. GOD, however, is not.

Please let us pray for the Petric family, as the family faces this tragedy.

Bad things happen to good people, just as good things happen to bad people.

Let us pray that Danny truly repents and allow Jesus to transform his life. Let us not forget to pray for Pastor Petric and the other membes of the Petric family.

SVG, Liinda, and all the other religious fools out there....

90% of what you believe about God & Christ is a result of an evolving story that attempts to brainwash and control you. Most of what you think of as your religion is a direct result of John Nelson Darby's ideas of what the bible is delivering. Before that you had a governmentally manipulated story attempting to, 1st control the pagans of the era, and once that wasn't obtainable the blended the "christ" faith with the pegan beliefs.(look up the origins of most of your religious holidays).

In the end, if you do your research God is in fact the sun. Yes the big yellow ball in the sky. Only mans ego could manipulate such a basic truth and make God in his own image. Give "him" magic and awareness.

God isn't capable of either making this young man kill his parents no is he capable of helping those who are left to cope with this family & community loss. All God can do is keep coming up in the morning and rotate across the sky.

I'll have to agree with the theory that:
"Or maybe that kid got sick of living with the f'n Flanders and lost it after realizing that religion and all their nonsensical bible-thumping BS is a big fat lie".
