As the one year anniversary of April's death approaches so many are still greiving this loss. Her friends, her family, and even people in the community that didn't know her. I hope and pray that someday the family will get the answers that they deserve. Please don't let April's memory be forgotten. As a community we need to do all we can to remember what a wonderful young woman she was, and what a bright future she had ahead of her. Let us not forget all of that was stolen from her.

Why even bring Jesse into this! I know Jesse very well and knew April also. I know for a fact that jesse and april dated for a long time. they may not of been exclusive but they were together for a long time. In fact I know for a fact that he was not even in town when this happened to April. He was in Hanibal with his dad when it happened. They did talk a couple of times about getting serious and Jesse asked her to marry him. Unless you know what you are talking about I suggest you not bring names into it esp. when it is a proven fact that Jesse was not in town.

Anyway it is a time now to remember April and her beautiful smile. She was a great girl and I honestly hope her family and friends find closure in the end. RIP April Campbell!!!!

So is this a common thing and should I bring my own shotgun when I move there? I know it's small town and talk- always is- but is Macon's cop really that bad? I know this is about a suicide, R>I>P> April - but I'm wanting a first hander about the actual amount of crimes there and I hope this is sorted out for her family's sake, along with "I miss her". Thankyou to all.

its been one year, one month, 21 days since April died. Until this day i still do not believe it was suicide and it STILL hurts me very much when i go see her EVERYDAY. i STILL cant believe a girl i GREW UP WITH is gone forever. as i talk to willie [her brother] i can see in his eyes that he is missing so much in his life now. now that Art [april and willies step-dad] is gone too, i know april isn't alone anymore and has Art there with her. i miss you so much april and one day we will see eachother again. Just please look down on ALL OF US and keep us safe. WE ALL MISS YOU so so so MUCH!!!! we love you!! RIP April Marie Campbell.

oh and by the way.. as i read some of the previous posts, it upsets me to see that people aren't even talking about april anymore. Please take your other conversations somewhere else. This is for April, not your personal business. April wouldn't like that at all.

LOVE YOU APRIL!

I am another victim of Macon county injustice system. My daughter was killed and not one person spent an hour in jail. This legal system withheld all info from me and then swept it under the rug. Its been eight years of fighting for the information. I know the cops don't care and the prosecutor is only interested in his own financial gain. The criminals get off with a cash donation to the prosecutor. Aprils death is a travesty. The injustice pumped out of this local prosecutor is not makes me think Als not the only one who should be strung up. I pray for her family and may God give Al and Tim what they truly deserve!!!!!!

I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. You're right, there should be justice. I hope you get it someday. If not in this world, there will be justice in the next.

The attorney general Nixon is failing his job on all accounts in Macon county. He needs to investigate these deaths closer and then present it to the grand jury. Then the grand jury will then be faced with the apparent negligence of the prosecutor. The prosecutor also legally has to let the victims family speak at any plea bargain. This is a constitutional right. Once the prosecutor has been proven the shiftless bastard that he is, the case should be reopened then. You have two years to do this. Contact U.S Congressman Kenny Holshoff, Nixon, and Senator Mike Gibbons. Nixon is lame, but just to make it known that he was contacted. Hopefully the grand jury will look into this prosecutors records and accounts. If they look, they will see. Gods justice and revenge is perfect, and sometimes incredibly poetic. I pray for the family with their devastating loss of April, and also I pray for their strength. I am sure April is as proud of them, as they are in April. The evil person who hurt her will pay.

Thank you for your response to my comment. The thing is, our county should require our public servants to serve the local publics needs and not the local justice systems political agenda. Representatives, ie prosecutor and the judge pocket and drug interests. They have threatened me and I am standing strong against them. I have stood alone many times because of this nazi type justice system that is forced on us by this keystone cop justice system. Fact is this, even though the police have evidence against these cases they don't want to do anything. I think when the prosecutor goes up for reelection we vote for (other). We can get a little protection from the attorney general if it is not Nixon. Nixon has been informed but refuses to act. Lets take our county back from these idiots and picket their offices. Maybe, have a local meeting to stop the b.s. that goes on. If we stand together we will win. Who could I get to stand with me? Or is the publics fear the way to live our lives in Macon county. Lets take this county back.

The last time I checked, yep, we do have freedom of speech!

This man has been known, all of his life, to be a perv and a stalker!!

April had made plans for the next day, was talking to family & friends and not depressed!

HE was seen yelling and harassing her outside her apt., she told several she was afraid of him.

Then the coroner said she had "MARKS OF INTENT" OMG, that is just wrong in so many ways!!!!!!!!! It is so wrong it's actually funny! Talk about a DA (dumb ass)!!

April's friends and family have stated their opinions and I do believe them.

Some of the blogs are ridiculous, others are grabbing the soap box to voice their injuries via the MPD.

It will eventually get resolved, sadly not before we all die of old age!

I grow up in Marceline, Mo. The town that Julie came from. I lived there at the time of the murder. I've heard all the stories and his is not off at all. I've talked to Julies fiance at the time of her death and there's more to that story even now. Back in high school a friend and I were talking openly about how we would like to write a book about it. Several people that we know told us to drop it before we ended up like Julie. I graduated in the early 90's after Grinder was in Jail. So what would be the reason to say that to us when the killer was in jail? Unless their not all. None of the stories match all the way. Things being stated were in places that others say it was not, but was later then stated. I'd really like to put a close to this for her family, but I'm scared to say much about it openly. I'm afraid that I may have said to much about myself already.

Senator Gibbons is running for attorney general he knows about it all. Maybe he can reopen some of the crimes being committed and swept under the carpet in dream city. If anyone knows anything call the Senator Gibbons @ Missouri gov. Its the only way I know that Tim Bickhaus, and AG Nixon will be exposed. Once they are exposed the grand jury will take care of it. Contact him, get a voice.

Please read posting #535. I am not disrepecting Julie. I am simply replying to someone who is using this forum for his own personal agenda. I find it hard to believe that every cop is out to get him. He also likes to post things about the police using 911 to read minds. He is disrepecting April and Julie memory with his rants on this forum.
