Here goes the traffic engineer again posting erroneous facts and blaming the police department. I have an idea, why don't you move to France and live a life of anarchy. It's obvious that you don't know what you are talking about and that you are a disgruntled person who has alot of serious issues. Let me teach a few things here little hagerstown boy. Number One, you have no facts to support your claims. Number two, the only person that is stupid and greedy is you. Number three, you need to go back to school and learn how to spell. I bet you are probably one of those losers that sits in their basement all day hiding behind their computer. If you are a real man then come down to Howard County, go to the police station and tell them what you posted on this website.....

Wow, some of these posts are pretty cold. Even if this officer made a bad decision, he certainly didn't deserve to die for it. He was just trying to do his job. The driver was speeding and talking on her cell phone. She was endangering others, and he tried to protect the community by stopping her.

Police officers, including traffic officers, face a lot of danger on the job (as evidenced by this officer's death). Aside from dangerous driving, traffic officers never know if the person they pull over is under the influence or has contraband on him, and will try to harm the officer in order to get away.

Police officers risk their lives for us. I don't think anyone would say that they do it for the money, because they are desperately underpaid for what they do. Who knows how far this officer could have gone in the department? He was doing an honest job, and putting his life on the line - he deserves a lot more respect than he's getting here.

Many of the things complained about here are administrative decisions that have nothing to do with the officers on the street.

And he died in the line of duty - is there really a need to speak ill of the dead? Everyone makes bad decisions now and then. Fortunately, most of us don't have such dangerous jobs.

If this butt trumpet went to an engineering school it must not have been one where they spoke English. He sounds a little bit illiterate to me (that means "can't read" Mr. trafikc enjineeer)

I was a deputy sheiff for a number of years. The thought of stepping in front of a car never occured to me. That has got to be the most stupid policy in law enforcement!`

She told friends that she was texting while driving. I can't believe that not only did she kill an officer, but her reckless driving hasn't warranted her any Jail time. She was just as impaired as she would have been if she were drunk. What a shame. The Howard County public deserve better. That section of road does not have an 85% speed of 68. At least not when the Police were doing their walk outs. On the day of the incident, I had just came trough there minutes before the officer was murdered by this reckless girl. I exited and went North on Route 1 and then left on Guilford. There weren't many cars on the road that day and anyone paying attention would have been able to see the officer about a mile away. She either has connections or is pretty. Thats the only reason why I could think that she is not serving time.

That is why they are called accidents people. And to the guy in Hagerstown who keeps changing his post name, you obviously have a beef with cops. Get a life.

HAHAHA. Don't give us that "other people break the law so i can do it to" crapola. People should obey the speed limit not copy the criminals. That's why we need much stiffer penalties for these deadly speeders.
