Working there doesn't mean you know anything. Seems to me the workers have been one of the last ones to know anything. I guess you're still eating in the Cafe too? I don't think so.

You're right, working there doesn't mean you know anything going on, but I think it was said its not "closed" and I know that because there are patients there in icu that I seen with my own two eyes as well. And as we all know, unless you are a patient, you don't have food cooked for you in the cafeteria anymore. Btw, since you seem to know more than The workers do, maybe you should read the whole article and not just the catchy headlines. They're moving the telemetry beds upstairs...NOT "closing" it.

Since they insist on keeping it open, and running up more debt, day after day on the people of this county, I guess the people of the county could refuse any services they offer, go elsewhere and that will definitely force a closer, sometimes you got to know when to quit, throwing good money after bad is not a good ideal, I just think it's really bad to leave people in management for years that don't have a clue about what they are doing, if your in a position you can't handle, be man or woman enough to step down, don't hang on until things like this happens.

Our hospital isn't perfect but when my children's Grandfather fell over with a heart attack, he would have died if it wasn't for our hospital. They brought him back and kept him alive until he was flown to a hospital equipped to deal with his condition. Believe me at the time we didn't care that the hillbilly helipad was just a grassy field or gravel. We were just grateful he was able to get the help he needed. Shut it down and one day you may be in this same position and you will be wishing you had this. A few minutes and a little intervention can make a difference between life and death and brain dead and functioning.

go to c ville hospitial or russell county you don't have to go there even glasgow as far as that goes.you have a choice use it sooner or later they will have to close it when they really don't have enough patients to keep it open unless they send them from the nursing home that's another joke around here really

I read that hospital care is the 3rd leading cause of deaths so if you want to keep score we need to remember that this hospital wins some and like others it has maybe cost a few lives also.....but you never hear about the mistakes they made.

Ok, you got me on that one. That was a catchy headline and not the whole story. You will pardon my jumping to conclusions that it was correct, I'm sure. As for knowing more than the workers, well I use to be one myself. But with all the cuts going on, I am left trying to keep the roof over my head. Not sure how much longer I will be able to. Please forgive me if I come off a little snippy. Worry and stress will do that to someone.
