So sad to hear. Parton Rd and KY70 are awful. how much longer will people continue dieing out those roads until somethings done? Roads need to be widened and straightened. Do we need to hold up our cardboard signs in front of the court house to get something done? Prayers for the family, just breaks your heart.

Noone cares and noones holding any card board signs. Noone is working to get these roads improved. When driving on alota Casey roads and highways, our family from outa state call it "doin da dip" refering to their car jumping and diping in the many swags and low spots. Our Roads are simply paved over horse wagon trails, meant by our ancestors as low speed, walking speed roads. Not 25-55MPH death traps that theyve became.

It ain't the roads that cause the problems, Brother.

Just like in the Casey News this week, the bus driver @ Clementsville that claimed to have kids almost ran over on KY70. True. But theres another part to the story. This same situation has occured on average once a week over past year. We know because we live there! In the curve in Clementsville! Posted speed per dept of highways, is 35MPH, down from 40MPH in years past. Many times, the bus is stopped, heading towards town, where the curve starts. When cars come down the hill and take the left hand curve where the homes are, they simply cant see the buss stopped in the other lane. For large vehicles they barly get stopped in time. Why are bus's picking kids up in a blind curve? Any fix? Any ideas? If your running the speed limit, and simply cant see around a curve, did you break a law? Did you do wrong? Can you be procecuted for following the 'law'? According to some deputies, YES! Why? Because someones mad and their not going to admit the speed limit posted is TO HIGH or the road is simply OUTDATED.

Over the past year I've almose been hit 3-4 times by school busses on 70 west when turning off 70, the bus drivers are tailgateing and barely see my turn signal. SLOW DOWN BUS DRIVERS.

There were rocks falling off the hillside this morning we ran over, no where to swerve. Same thing in Taylor County rock and gravel out in the road from the rain and hillsides. This road is outdated and cant be patched anymore. The ditches have been kept clean but its not helping. The road will have to be redone to fix the problems and bus drivers, SLOW DOWN!
