Nothin but a pit of vipers. Maybe not all but many. I know one there that worships Jesus this, and loves God that and turn right around and lie, steal, and backbite people for their own personal gain. Think I'd rather take my chances at home. Sorry but with good christian folks like that...think Id rather just stay home and read my own bible.

<quoted text>I'm glad that all are welcome at the church but, I think when people are trying to get a person to start coming there, the first thing out of their mouth shouldn't be, "Oh! You would love coming there, it's like being at a rock concert." I have been told that by several people who have invited me to attend 3 Trees. I love a good praise & worship service, but I think the strobe lights & all that stuff is to much like the world. Christians need to be set apart from the world & let sinners know by their actions that they are Christians & don't need all the worldy stuff to worship God, we bring him to church in our hearts. Do research on this stuff if you don't think all the lighting & smoke is of the world. Just my thoughts, & I heard Eric preach in the old store on Hwy 127 & he seemed like his heart was in the right place & as far as people cheating in church, that's going to happen in a lot of churches.
SMOKE!!! I don't believe 3trees has a "smoke machine", maybe a strobe light. I do believe Eric still has a heart for the Lord. I can remember some 24hr praise and worship in which the lights were barely on for the musicians to play their instruments. Sometimes that is the way I like it to not put on a show. There is alot of stuff that has invaded worship over the years and I mean centuries.
I have had questions over "stuff" over the years, and I believe that some of the questioning was doubt in my flesh. The best discernment I have is the Word and the Holy Spirit in my heart. Since you saw one of the early services, come back and not lean on what you have heard or been told. People make assumptions all the time without ever witnessing it themselves. Some assume to be a christian you should be like this or feel like that or don't even give a "walk with the Lord" a chance. The same as non-christians judge christians, please visit again and see how it is then.

strobe lights are bad enough. But setting whether or not you're traditional aside, I'm not going to enroll my child in Sunday School Services where a grown man disrobes when teaching 13 year old girls about "temptations". Does 3 trees handle these matters in-house like the Catholic Church did, or has someone at least contacted the proper authorities?

Its a place where you can scream Jesus and all his glory. Of course the band music is amazing with new and old hymns. But what your forgetting is the message and people's testimonies. I used to go there and haven't been cause of work for a while but after visiting so many churches 3 trees is the only one I have been to where it was a lesson to be learned instead of a preacher huh huh hollering to where you can understand. Pastor eric talks to you, teaches you and learns with you. Anyone that goes just one time will then understand and leave with a blessed open heart. even though I can't go right now that church will always be my home.

Yes, it seems 3 Trees is a very "anything goes" kind of place.

3 trees is a cult church. Of course people cheat, drink and whatever else. they prech there that its ok to do all of this through the week as long as you come there on sunday. I have seen so many people completly change after going there and not for the better. Sure they all put on these holy fronts but behind closed doors is so different. There is no way I would allow any member of my family to attend that place.

R U off your meds??? I mean your calling 3trees a cult church because there is a lot of people that goes there and you know a few cheaters and YES I agree that there is some that may praise the Lord there then get out and do this and do that. That is what is wrong with alot of the Churches anymore people look at what someone else is doing not what they need to do and that is take care of their own business. I know that the comment was made and not by you but that people will say just come one time and you will love it. Well I ask what would be wrong by just saying that? Nothing is wrong with saying that. For anyone to set back and call this Church a Cult is just plain stupid! Thats right I said stupid!!! If you want to sit at home then SIT!! Nothing wrong with it cause your the one that has to answer for if your not living for the Lord. We all make mistakes me included but if you think you can learn more about the Lord by sitting home and not going to some Church and worshipping then by all means as I said just sit there and read your Bible at least you will be reading your Bible. Seems like to me with that attitude you got reading it will do you know good cause your bitter for some reason. I wouldn't want to call any Church a Cult or a pastor without some real proof and I know you don't have that. Like I said before this all started cause of Ernies wife. What a shame for anyone to sit back and judge this way and yes I did judge you by asking if your off of your meds I thought that may give you an excuse for having crazy thoughts such as that. I will take that back I do not mean to judge you just trying to figure out what would make a person say such a thing. I do also want to say that I know for a fact that some of the other Churches have people that goes in their Churchs and when they get out they act like they never beein inside a Church but again thats them maybe they think its ok to act like that. You really shuld come to 3trees you will love it I promise.

oh, that makes it all better. it doesn't matter what you do, as long as you're sorry for it by sunday morning. I forgot that was y'alls motto. what - did your backspace button stop working on you? even after you realized you shouldn't say it, you decided to go ahead and finish typing, enter the captcha, and "post comment".

CULT:(noun)
1.A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
2.A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
either would work. and no one called your pastor a cult, you hillchuck.

Still off of your meds I see. lol Its an opinion but someone that don't take their meds like they are suppose to sometimes has a cloudy judgement. lol I also know that when the Church is called a cult your talking about the people and our Pastor. See the Church is the people. I also don't claim to be perfect by far I'm not!!! I don't go to Church on Sunday morn and then get out here and boozed it up or cuss and put people down all day but I do sin. Know why? I'm not perfect and as I said don't claim to be. I just thought that I would give my opinion weather ask for or not SEE its my right just like it is yours. One thing you are right about and that is my gossiping but as I said not being perfect makes me weak in that way. So go right ahead and get your Dict out and give all the quotes you want means nothing to me. I can tell you that if you want to keep your family out of 3trees thats fine with me just get them in any Bible base Church that suits you. I know that Joel Osteen has them big screen tv's in his Church and what a following he has. I just wonder if his church has ever been called a cult?

Has anyone talking bad about it ever been there to witness the things that go on there? We do everything every other church does but we have a modern more understanding way of doing it. We sing we pray we take up offering we hear the message and then we sing and hope that god has touched someone to get them to the alter and give their life to Jesus and then we dismiss. We give to the community just as much as we take in. In this church you see how the money is spent when you come to candy trail or get a hair cut or oil change at the fairgrounds ... 3 trees like every church tries to introduce you to Jesus and in my opinion a long as you find a road that leads to him it shouldn't matter how or where you go that gets you there. I dare you to go one time jut once and your outlook will change.

The meaning of the help is for single mothers and people who can't afford things. We help the less fortunate. What's wrong with people today that doesn't know it's better to give than receive do into others and what Jesus tries to teach use your skills he gave you to help others.
