I wonder

wonder what kind of things would occur if cameras were put in the class rooms?? ummmm! I hear alot of people complain around here but no one wants to form a group to change nothing because of what might be thought of them if they come out of the closets with their real thoughts. I for one have my own issues with the school but I alone can not make a change. If enough people formed a parent organization and raised their own money up with grants and fundraising, cameras could be put in the schools. We all know the excuse for this would be money so we could do it ourselves. I would be willing to bet test scores would come up and alot of child said vs. teacher said would be clear. People raise stink over issues at the mid to bottom of a list of problems here and things like test scores or lack of books and consistency throughout the schools oh and lets not forget how the SBDM committee meetings happen at times when people are working and can't attend or how board meetings are at inconvient times for the public when they're discussing issues that only they want the say in or how the 6:00 meetings occur before the time set. Do we really feel welcomed to those meetings honestly. I didn't! All of the above get put to the bottom of the priority list which makes no since. How can we complain about ag and extra curriculars like football and basketball when our childrens education is sinking or subpar. On a federal level everything is cookie cutter, black or white. They choose a speed they want kids to learn at and it doesn't matter if that speed is too fast or too slow. If your child can do more they say "No" we aren't doing that yet and if your child can't keep up they are called lazy or to try harder or you have to learn this for kprep testing. I suggest writing to some higher ups and forming a parent group to sit in on these board meetings and maybe even take turns sitting in the school each day and holding these people accountable for their pay and quitt allowing special education teachers to text all day or ACES teachers to sit on ebay every day. I will be happy to join a group just advertise it.

Florida did away with tenure. That would take care of the bad teacher problem. If you don't do your job you can be replaced regardless of years. Ky needs the same thing!

Well maybe all you uneducated people should go to college and get your teaching degree if you think you can do a better job!
OH WAIT....That wouldnt work, you couldnt sit on your ass all day on topix while you draw a check and get free babysitting services from the teachers!
Really people, there are a few bad teachers, but that doesnt make all of them bad.

[It is time that school workers wake up to the fact that tax payers pay for the schools and teachers to educate our kids and be a good character example.]wonder what kind of things would occur if cameras were put in the class rooms?? ummmm! Just because someone makes a comment or replies to a topic doesn't mean they're uneducated or without a degree. In all fairness, our school system has had many problems that wasn't their fault and many that were. There are good and bad teachers and staff in every school system. Tenure has its positives but in some situations it can be a negative. Maybe you didn't do as well in English as you could have since you show issues in the punctuation area of your statement. Hopefully you're not a teacher or member of the staff at our local school system since profanity is usually linked to a lack of self-control.

It's sad. We have good and bad teachers. But all anyone wants to do is complain. Why not praise the good ones. My son is very upset because a teacher at the high school who has gone above and beyond to help him and other students is being moved. the teacher coming to the high school doesn't want to go there and is very upset. How good will she be for the students. I'm not saying she is a bad teacher but she is better in another placement. Why are they moving everyone around? This one teacher is good she is stern but the kids respect her and they learn from her. Take time to see that it's not all bad teachers but maybe bad administration. It's a trickle effect it starts at the top. But because of that many good teachers get overlooked.

She must not be Troy's type, so he will replace her with one who is.

Calm down Donna just because you two did it 3 or 4 years ago doesn't make it ok. You two are still trying run the schools with your great morals, setting those excellent examples for the students and I'm sure you guys would only make ethical and proper decisions for the best interests of the students.

lol, hate to burst your bubble but I'm not Donna. She has more class than to get on topix. Just a friend who's tired of all the bashing. People who get divorced have the right to finally be happy after years of an abusive marriage. Think It's finally time to notify the Attorney General's Office to stop this further abuse on every school forum for years now.

i know personally Spanish teachers who cant speak Spanish ,...
physical education teachers who cant even read at a 6 th grade reading level ,....
and art teachers who lack any form of artistic talent

tell me ,..

why shouldn't these people be fired?

incompetents are fired in most other industries ,..

why not fire a few bad teaches ?
why should they be immune ?
if its "all about the children '-- rotten teachers should quickly be fired ,..before they ruin another generation of young minds
well
