He will be eligible when he turn 42 or in 16 more years. He is doing well and has made peace with what happened with many regrets.

I was locked up with Blake at Northpoint for quite awhile. I talked to him some and he's just the nicest, quietest, most polite and respectful person you'd ever want to meet. You'd never guess what his crime was just by seeing him. He's doing great and seems very well adjusted to the fact he's gonna be locked up for a long time. He was living in the "honor dorm" when I left last year. I would love to read an account of the crime itself, so does anyone know where the story can be found? And yes, his family seems very supportive of him in there. I can honestly say that I liked Blake and he's a really good guy.

Don't think that dog will hunt! No liquor stores are open on Sunday night in B.G. Feel bad for the young man and found it hard to believe. Sat behind him in church on that Sunday morning. At first I thought it was probably the brother!

Here's a URL for a statement he wrote when he plead guilty:

That's just one side of the story, itbut's the only side of the story we'll ever hear. I think a lot of it may be true though, but I never knew his father.

From what I remember, the morning after the murder Blake called two friends over to tell them what he'd done and show them the bodies. Then he took the family car and drove it to Mexico. The friends went that afternoon and told the police. Blake came back to the U.S. when he found out he couldn't blend in very well down there. Police found him sleeping in the car a few days later in Oklahoma.

Actually, he went to Sonic Drive-In the night of and got two friends to show them what he had done, I was there when he came, I talked to him... and there is a full account of everything Blake said in court on the Columbia Magazine website somewhere. He was a great kid... I was very close to him and the two people he showed the bodies to... I am sure that he is going to get out and be as normal as he was before all the craziness happened.
