Good luck. I have to drive to Bardstown so I can have a decent paying job. I saw in the paper that Superior Battery in Russell Springs is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Hang out at your local Home Depot. Hope on a pickup that drives by. Hammer some nails, plants some shrubs, get some tax-free cash under the table.

Illegal immigrants do it everyday.

Since you obviously know how to fire up a computer, post a message and read replies you may be able to find a job with Upstream in C'ville. They have an excellent training program and you get to learn more about the travel industry than you ever cared to know.

It's worth a try, go for it.

btdt,

I have some hard news for you.

If you've worked so many jobs in one town (you did say half, right?) one has to see it can't be one half of a town's employers, it's just you.

It's a job, not a pleasure cruise. It is a shame that an employer would think that since you work for them that they expect you to come in, come in on time, keep your personal problems at home, do your job and not bitch about the job. Perhaps you should open up a business and work for yourself... like that would make you happy, but it would be fun to watch you complain about the boss (Um, that would be you). Go there and do that.

Grow up while you're at it.

i haven't worked at half of c-ville...i meant that half of c-ville has worked there...by the way i am a wonderful employee i am always on time and willing to stay over and come in on my days off...the management at UPSTREAM sucks and the HR manager doesn't do anything but look at porn and stare at everyone's cleavage

My apologies btdt, I read it in the light that you had worked for half of the C'ville companies, which sent up a bunch of red flags. Thank You for the clarification. Sounds like you are a grown-up (smile).

Since I don't have frontal cleavage I may be safe there.

Okay folks,

This is an simple question; Those who know should help, those who want to express opinion know this is not the time.

pop123, I have not worked for Upstream (yet) but I do know three who have - and are still there. Everyone's experiences are their own.

This is how I know the physical place of Upstream; C'ville's Broadway from Hwy 55,(going toward the fairgrounds) make a right at Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken (pop123, I wish I was more help) it is a brick building... for a year they had a big sign "Hiring."

I looked up the name for ya, but, I don't think putting up a number here is a good decision. I found it easily by calling 411, and following the instructions. You can do it. If the number they give you ends in "3000" you have found it.

Good Luck! I hope the best for ya,

Been there done that;

I still hold out my apologies to you, although you are making it hard to hold.

pop123 may need income in a really quick way. If you desire to shit on someone because you had a bad experience, push. Push hard. It all comes out in the end.

pop123 is looking for work (aka income). pop123, go for it. I know people currently working there that like the job... one moved here for it. Go for it, it is a job, and it sounds like the "grown-up" that I addressed before has gone retro.

Put together the 849 with the number that I posted and you can call them directly. I will not post a complete phone number in a single post. The area code is 270. There may be a 3K somewhere in the other post. If you can't put that together, I suggest that you should not apply.

The Industrial Board is holding their monthly meeting at the Chamber of Commerce Building in Columbia this evening at 6 PM. The meetings are open to the public. This would be your opportunity to ask the director and the board about the prospects of any new businesses coming to town. They should have information on Wal-Mart coming to Columbia if it is official.

Does anyone know how to get a job at Amazon?

And what exactly is the kind work you'd do at upstream?

I agree that this should be a serious discussion and not the time for childish behaviour. Some people have a mortgage payment to make and no job to make money to pay it with....grace period ends at the 15th.
