I think it would be better to have had one of the demolition derbys last night and to put the horse show back on the last night of the fair. They would have made a lot more money last night with the derby and then on the last night they would make more than they did last night with the horse show. I guess they have a reason for doing it the way they do though. I liked the judge last night. I thought he did a pretty good job judging, but any judge is not going to make everyone happy. The Jaycees work very hard to try and make it better each year, but they need the support of the community to continue.

It dont have nothing to do with the jaycees on the judging of the horses.
The judge was a judge that picked winners in what they where wearing and how they looked and what there last names where.
I had to leave about 45 mins into the show because i got so sick watching him judge that i busted a hemroid wide open.
Come on folks we know that a judge cant suite everyone, and never will.
This damn show at adair co is getting worse every year about being onesided.
What they need to do is hire a judge 300 miles from adair co put him on a polygraph test and ask him does he know any of the trainers or exibitors.
Then put him in an air conditoned building there at the fairgrounds and keep him there until about 30 seconds before the show starts. If any trainer is seen talking or complying with him before the show kick there ass out for that night.....

This stupid shit is so damn political in the horse showing bizzness its pitiful!!
How in the living hell can you judge 23 horses at one time without retireing at least half of them out of the ring...The judge may have good perenphial vision but damn it would have to 2 hawks and a eagle to judge fair when there is that many horses in 2 or 3 classes.
Get real!!! Before any of uens say anything,,,,no we did not have a dog in that fight, and no we will never have a dog in that fight at that horse show after last year!!!It wasn't alot diffrent.
It may have been for the ones that won though, you think.

Lacy has a point a good judge will cut the ring!! However, Lacy you loose readers even though you have really good imput when you cuss. I know it is upsetting and have been there done that myself in shows. Even have walked out myself a few times in the past. Your also correct about getting a judge out of town.

I understand everyone pain with the horse show. We didn't have a horse in the show this year but in years past we have and sometime we do well but you always know who will win the championships. Yet we can go to different shows and do very well and win. Something just doesn't seem right about that now does it?

23 horses in one class? Should have been split.

I know that other people have tried to have horse shows at the fairground and unless you have deep pockets you cannot afford the insurance that the Jaycee's require you to have. Is that not a shame?

My grandson had a horse in there and every place he has been he places sometimes first and sometme not but he always places and it dont matter how many horses are in there but every time he comes to Columbia he never ever places and the thing about it is he has showed against some of the same people that he has showed against in other places and he places over them but for some reason when he shows against them in Adair he never places. Well I guess thats just the way the game is not everyone can be pleased it just seems odd that a person wins against the same people in another county but here against them he doest win . So I really dont know what could be the matter or should I say it would do me no good to say what I think is wrong.
