Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY
COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of January 2013, there were 16 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
There were two fatals during the month of January in the Post 15 area:
Downey, Glenda, of Jamestown was killed in Adair Co KY on 01/21/13.
Jones, Willie L, of Edmonton was killed in Metcalfe Co KY on 01/23/13.
This brings our yearly fatality count to 2 compared with 3 through this same period in 2012. State wide fatality count stands at 42 compared with 57 through this same period in 2012.
During the month of January 2013, there were 1112 citations written, 249 courtesy notices written, 1132 vehicles inspected, 666 complaints answered, 68 motorists assisted, 53 criminal cases opened and 217 criminal arrests made.
Story courtesy TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer, Kentucky State Police Post 15, 1118 Jamestown ST,(at Exit 49, Louie B. Nunn Parkway), Columbia, KY. Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, covers the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
so 25 troper working in 11 county if you will do the math like on citations 1112 that 44.48 per troper where the sheriff office has 12 citations and 6 men that is 2 per month.i can do this alld day for you the sheriff office is a waste of tax payer money we just need one sheriff to collect taxes and no dept in there they dont know how to police .
Like said they count every charge as a citation so they can write 1 person 3,4,7,8 or however many they want. Everybody else if they stop one person and write 1 person 5 tickets they just show it as 1 citation on there monthly report numbers are fudged I promise you they did not write 1112 different people tickets they prolly average three tickets per stop. Six deputies work about the same amount of wrecks that the entire post works in 11 counties according to your press release in addition to that activity the sheriffs office releases it does not show all the complaints they Awnser call post 15 and ask them how many complaints they get for troopers to go to in just Adair county only then call Adair didpatch and see how many calls the deputies get a day you will find out state works about 1 complaint for every 4 to 5 the sheriffs office takes sometimes its hard for a gray god or associate to accept the facts but they are what they are the sheriff takes care of most everything that goes on in the county and the state takes care of the big shit because they are better equipped and trained to handle

There is a big differene, which is why breathalyzers aren't admissable in court. I could swish my mouth with mouthwash and the readings would be off the chart. Am I intoxicated? No. Breathalyzers just show the presence of alcohol.

I was once told, when you stand on the corner and argue with a fool & someone in a car drives by and sees you both arguing they cannot tell who the fool is. So, I am gonna step away from this conversation or I'll just look as foolish as you.

Sorry, cupcake, but the content of your mouth has nothing to do with a breathalyzer. One more time, it measures the content of your lungs.

You are right. The sheriff office is outdated politics
and should be abolished.

You people are so !@#$in' ignorant. I swear. His blood alcohol level was not more than twice the legal limit; he blew into the breathalyzer more than twice the legal limit. It takes several weeks for a blood test to come back. Next time get your facts straight.
Blood alcohol levels can be read as soon as the lab processes them. That means if a person is brought in an ER where they have a lab on staff at all times the levels are back within 30 minutes. I know. I do this on a weekly basis with my job. The only time it takes weeks to come back if the labs are sent out in which that case would be taking them to a hospital which isnt equipped with 24hr lab access. Hospitals such as Taylor Co, Somerset, TJ Sampson can get results as soon as the blood is analyzed.

Or maybe she left him because of his drinking problem and for missing so much work for the past year. A person can only take so much of that.

I see, I get it now! She committed adultery and screwed one of her best friends husbands because her own husband was a drunk trooper. Makes perfect sense! Thank you for explaining to me! I wouldn't have never got it!:)
