Interesting I saw the drunk trooper mentioned on a Lexington TV station but it is being kept hush-hush around here just like all the illegal video poker machines operating in the Post 10 area.

Maybe Cave City police while they are at it busting off duty drunken state troopers can take time and investigate all the illegal video poker machines in the Post 15 area. On Sunday Cave City police officer Blaine Hollis was flagged down by a motorist on Broadway Street in Cave City. The witness stated that a black Toyota pickup was all over the roadway. Also at that time a couple of 911 calls came into the Glasgow Police department about a reckless driver in a vehicle of the same description Office Hollis located teh vehicle and pulled it over on Highway 70 in Cave City. The Driver was an off-duty Kentucky State Police Trooper from the Columbia Post. The driver was 28 year old Casey J. Wethington of Columbia. Wethington was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense. His blood alcohol was more than twice the legal limit.

That makes me very sad. Law enforcement officers are just ordinary people (although they think they're not), but I do expect them to be law-abiding citizens if they are nothing else.

I put more faith in them than the state look back over the years of all the shit troopers have been fired for there a joke to scared to even police the county they hang out in town now I guess crime is beat till a stand still out in the county most of them couldn't find there way out of a paper bag . Look at the last one that ran for sheriff 20 plus years as a state trooper and a republican in a almost 3 to 1 ratio republican county beat by a democrat gas truck driver what's that tell ya about what people think around here about them

First they catch a cop makeing meth... droped all his charges and rehired him... so they probly will let the state trooper go to with no charges. It just depends on who you are in any of these towns! An its not right to pick and choose who gets charges and who dont. everyone should get the same punishments or noone should b punished at all.

You people are so [email protected]#$in' ignorant. I swear. His blood alcohol level was not more than twice the legal limit; he blew into the breathalyzer more than twice the legal limit. It takes several weeks for a blood test to come back. Next time get your facts straight.

What exactly do you think a breathalyzer is measuring? It measures the alcohol content of your lungs, which is mathematically equivalent to your Blood Alcohol Content.

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, covers the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.
so 25 troper working in 11 county if you will do the math like on citations 1112 that 44.48 per troper where the sheriff office has 12 citations and 6 men that is 2 per month.i can do this alld day for you the sheriff office is a waste of tax payer money we just need one sheriff to collect taxes and no dept in there they dont know how to police .
