City people who move to Adair County and Bitch

They come here and bitch that this is not as good a place as where they came from. My thought is they should have stayed where they were at. Instead they come here with their city intelligence and try to take over due to the fact they see us as uncouth country hicks. Wondering if others have had about all they can stand?

Just can't say enough about the good folks who move here and make every effort to improve our lives. I do appreciate the ones who move here and act civil towards the locals and have enough good sense to keep their opinions to themselves until they at least understand local desires. But my opinion is totally different than many of our leaders who seem to make an all-out effort to appoint anyone "in from off" to any position that is available, especially if it involves using our tax revenues. Don't we have anyone smart enough to hold decisive positions?

actually this town is made up not of redneck hillbillies but more people from other states than some care to realize. Most of the people around here are from Indiana,Florida and Chicago...doesn't sound like hillbillies to me. Every now and then you'll run into the occasional true blue adair countian but most of the time it's just people from other counties or states that make up this ever so pitiful town. Sure it could be a better place...but at the same time one can not complain. One..it doesn't do any good to. And two...it could very well be a whole lot worse. I just wish the kids had a better source of education and that the people that say they are out to serve and protect would do that for more than just themselves and the people that pay them. It would be nice to get new businesses in town but that would require the older more predominate people in adair county to relinquish control over who makes money here. It's sad that people around here don't realize that with more businesses comes more jobs,more jobs better opportunities for themselves and for others who unfortunately can not either find a job or due to things beyond their control are on welfare. All it takes is for people to actually care for more than themselves around here and things could possibly change.Just be happy that you are able to still walk down the streets without worrying about getting killed or raped and that your kids are actually safe in your own backyard.

That is funny what you people don't realize is that these country hick good old boys make sport of selling you city guys hillsides that a billy goat could stand up on and then laugh as you attempt to be farmers. If you didn't buy a hillside someone got a war pension from you for a house somewhere in Adair County that is so far back that sunshine has to piped into. Most of you guys move into the recesses of Breeding somewhere; I would venture to guess finding a buyer won't be so easy. Maybe you should advertise it online? LOL
