I have noticed as a deputy jailer working her for several years. The jailer has no concern for his employees. He doesn't care about the staff, unless you are a female. He has really let the jail down. The floors are very poor. The plumbing of the jail is not in running conditions. The water when the inmates takes showers fall from the upstairs into the basement cells because of massive leaks. The inmates are not living in clean conditions. Also noticed one day some people came to speak with him on a subject, He talked to them in a professional manner. But when they left the building, he talked about all of them like dogs, but he seems to do here daily. As far as the equipment we need: We have nothing in case of aggression from the inmates. He lets the inmates run over the staff at the jail like we are the inmates. I have spoke with several deputy's that I work with, we all agree the same but if you try to discuss it with the jailer, he says go find another job. I can why the there is 60 percent turnover rate when he was elected. It's about time for the public to make a change, It's for the best.

With all the money he reports the jail has made off inmates and their familys keeping half of every dollar family brings in for they why can't they spend some on the jail upkeep. Course all that money the elected personnel make their salerys have to come from somewhere. Another thing. I can go to any jail website for 100 miles around Adair and they use JailTracker that allows you to the names of every inmate their pic's and what they are charged with. Whats keeping them from doing that here instead of having to call there and staying on hold 10 minutes tell they walk throgh the jail (I Guess) and asking names. Seems like the most un organized place there is. Buy the way the jail web site for Adair still lists the old jailer as being in charge. How many years has it been now?

I have been in jail there a few times myself!! I don't know what goes on as far as the deputy's but you can't blame the jails plumbing and all the problems on Rick!!! As I recall all that was going on way before he was elected!! One of my best friends is about 32 and was in the basement there for two years waiting to get sent to prison and while waiting the mold ate his lungs up!! A Dr. Told him his lungs looked like a 90 year olds lungs!! That was about three years ago!! As far as the problem I think everyone knows who to blame it on and Rick isn't the one!! The community can blame all of it on the money hungry man that was in charge for years!! Personally I like both of them and think they are both good guys but I would give Mr. Wilson a chance!! Nothing can change in one year especially that mess at the jail!!

When Rick worked with us he said he wanted the job as jailer because it was the highest paying county job and the easiest. You had so many working under you just let them do everything and you didn't have anything to do. Now he draws a salary from the county and retirement from the state guess he got his dream job.

Deputy, it sounds like you are pretty narrow minded. If you think all that can happen or did happen in the short time that Mr. Wilson has been there, then you must have had your blinders on during the previous jailers terms. There is no way all that could have fallen apart in that short time. You just have a chip and want to take it out on Rick. He must have reprimanded you for not doing YOUR job. Get over it.

I really hope Rick (lier) Wilson doesn't get elected again. He honestly doesn't have a clue about his job. I will make a better choice on voting when the time comes! The man would make a better clown than a jailer lol.

Ithink if they are in jail they should have it bad maybe they would try and stay out of the place instead of laying up in there for someone to take care of them, good job Mr. Wilson give them hell.

The problem with the jail be it Rick Wilson or whomever the jailer may be at the time is that as always in this County we vote in some smiley faced politician instead of an experienced person. I don't believe you should be allowed to run for jailer if you have never had experience working in a corectional facility.

I think Rick Wilson has no experience in the field of corrections. He lays up at the jail drawing a pay check that he doesn't really earn. He has a sh*t eating grin on his face everytime someone talks to him. When the state makes a visit to the jail, the paperwork on the inmates and the jail is so outdated and filled out wrong it's not even funny. The paperwork is costing the taxpayers so much money, buy he doesn't seem to care when you bring it to his attention. The jail does need someone who is honest, with high expectations for the job. He is a sore loser.
