We ate there tonight. Every thing was delicious, & service was great. Drinks are $2 at any restaurant you go to nowadays. The Ice tea was very good, and they refilled it at least 4 or 5 times so it was only 50 cents a glass.
They had a lot of people coming in, & I liked the buffet but not knowing what their serving on any give night could keep people in.
We will definitely go back, but I'm looking forward to a menu in case I don't like what's on the buffet that evening.

I thought the food was good. Nothing particularly special but good. One thing I do not understand is although they opened late from the original projected date, they don't seem prepared still. They need a Facebook page to tell what the daily special is.

I thought they were serving breakfast? My family tried to go this morning around 10am and they were closed.

When we went the first night they were open, dinner was $8.95. Went back last week, and it was $10.95. Family member said they were charged $6.95 for dinner the first weekend they were open.

First night, we really enjoyed it. Chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, pie, etc were all really good. The salad bar has a good variety, and our drinks were refilled pretty quickly.

Second night, it was mostaccioli and fettuccine with fried chicken, so I really didn't care for the two pasta dishes. Pasta may not be the best route for them, considering the side dishes are still your potatoes and vegetables. The lettuce in the salad bar was pretty bare, and it took a little too long to refill, as people were going up multiple times to check if it was full. Service was also much slower on the drink refills (I'm not guzzling, but will drink 2-3 of the smaller glasses they have).

Sodas are $2 anywhere you go nowadays, so no issue there for me.

I think it will be a place I visit frequently. The first night, my impression was it would be a place I would go to regularly, but the second night dropped my opinion a little. I do realize though that they are new, with new staff, so I will give it a couple more visits before I cement any opinions.

My best advice would be to drop the pasta dishes, or maybe have just one at a time, but there should never be a "pasta night" on the buffet if you are going to have potato and veggie sides to accompany it. Stick with the roast, fried chicken and chicken and dumplings. That's your niche.

We went with a large group. I ordered a Miller Lite with a glass of ice. I got a glass of beer; no ice. Two others in my group ordered beer and got a bottle. I asked if mine was draft and she said "no." Paid for a bottle but was shorted a couple of ounces. We went around 7 pm. The chicken was just "ok" but the salad bar was well stocked. I can spend less on buffets in South County and get more choices. I left feeling ripped off so I'd be reluctant to go back.

Was it in a pint glass? If so, you weren't shorted anything. They probably thought you wanted a frosted glass. Why didn't you tell them their mistake? How else are they supposed to fix it?

Was not a pint glass. Same size as everyone else who had beer. I asked if I had a bottle or draft. She said it was bottled. The people on the other end of the table got their bottle of beer and it did not fill up the glass. It was not a frosted mug either. In fact, it wasn't even that cold. She should have brought the bottle and glass of ice as I had requested in the first place. She should have recognized her mistake when I questioned her.

So, a large group and the server makes a mistake and you don't speak up but come here to bitch. And, your first post said everyone else had bottles so how do you know it didn't fill up the glass. Considering you orders a beer with ice I'd be willing to bet you complain about something at every meal and keep going back to those places.

I would bet she never heard of anyone ask for Ice for beer before.
I have, but it is not very common. Kind of waters the beer down.

I am confused about why you think you were shorted though. You said your glass was the same as everyone else & theirs came out in a bottle but did not fill the glass up either. So how were you cheated? LoL, Unless you were charged for the ice you didn't get.

Well I went down there tonight and there was no tacos of any kind. I really don't think it's funny to trick someone like that.
