Agree, moms are BETTER, however, child care workers in licensed facilities do have to follow strict requirements as do the centers for which they work!

rules set forth does not mean they will always be followed. it only takes one inncodent for something very ugly to be irreversable. just sayin. so if you're fortunate enough to stay at home with your children, you should do so.. that should be why you become a mother... to mother them.

Raising a child is more than keeping them on a leash at your home. I hate to say it, but life isn't fair. Being a "mother" with your kid at home isn't teaching that child how to survive in the real world. The daycare experience can give your child some much needed life experience, that as a parent, you aren't going to be able to provide. It would be great though if you could spoil your son/daughter in a magical world of sugar canes and lollipops, but that kid is doomed when it is time to come into the real world.

Dee obviously used a phone and that is why it says she is in IA. Anon tries to use big words and sound smart, rather than actually sticking to relevance of the topix. Anyway, back on topic, what is wrong with what Dee said "Go Away IA?" You need more than book smarts to make it in this world. You don't get those smarts being sheltered at home. YOU as the parent might be fortunate to stay at home with the kid, but that kid will be a follower and not a leader. The emotions of that child that stays at home are in need of constant support and nourishing. The motivation to be the leader and to take control have never been learned because there has never been an environment to do so. You think every person/kid in this world is nice?

Thanks for following me!! I'm not on any welfare, I also don't have medicaid. What do you believe is the best role model for my children? A stranger at day care? A person who works at daycare just to make a pay check, or a full time parent?

you can have your views on raising children, but why do you dissagree so much with what i do? you don't know me, and your taxes don't support me. Leave me be.

there are 40 other posts of good and bad feedback. is that not enough for you?? scroll down through the topix, every other month or so someone starts a day care thread.
GO TO THE PLACES, check them out yourself, talk to FRIENDS or people around town, parks, ect... Not the gossip site of topix.

CKC is fabulous. My child has learned so much in the Prek building and the teachers are all extremely nice. They went through some changes the past couple months and the new teachers are amazing. I would recommend CKC to anyone. My child loves it there.

We have sent all 3 of our children to the Carrot Patch. Truly and honestly can say we are very happy with all the teachers, a big majority of them being there the whole time. Unfortunately you cannot make everyone happy.

Carrot Patch is the best! Both my kiddos have just about been raised by Miss Debbie. They treat your kids like their own.

At the Carrot Patch, Miss Debbie is awesome and so is Miss Rita!! They have both done an outstanding job caring for children for many, many years! Hopefully they will continue. My kids say "hats off" to them!

Yes the director was fired for being sick! Pretty crappy move! The director had been there so long that she had cared for my now 18 year old when she was 2. She was the best person there, and i think the owner was intimidated by her. When my 2nd child came along we were not so lucky there. The new owner hires people of questionable character for sure. My child learned several unsavory habbits while going there. Its very true, check it out if u dont believe it.....it's fact.
Carrot Patch Is Bad wrote:
You might want to check the teaching credentials of your childrens' teachers at CP. They have a long history of using unqualifed (according to law) teachers. That would require paying more and cut into their bottom line. I heard the assistant director was "let go" when she became ill. The owner did hand her a Christmas bonus check at the same time she fired her. I'd hardly call that compassionate or caring.
