As a republican who does not favor Obama my opinions stands as this. Until the republican party can pick an intelligent candidate who know what the typical American wants and need.... Obama will win. The candidates they out up this year was completely embarrassing to the republican party as a whole. Put in someone like Ron Paul. I couldn't even believe Rick Santorum thought he had a chance.

As one that holds fast to the middle ground, meaning that both parties have failed in leadership in my opinin, I have to admit that the smartest republican here is well. Obama will win because of the incompetence of the republican leadership. After the Sarah Palin debacle, you think that they would have learned something about leadership choices, but they haven't. They have only themselves to blame. Hopefully they will find an alternative to Romney by convention time. How can one even think that he didn't buy his way into the nomination, especially when it's funded with those off shore accounts in the Cayman Islands. What does those accounts tell you?. To me, he is a deadbeat rich tax dodger. In that sense, the people that support him haven't learned anything either. If he would win, prepare for the rich to get richer, and the middle class decline by supporting the rich and the poor on their overworked ovetaxed backs.

If he gets in again he will tear this country apart even more than what he has done, because he has nothing to lose. His term regardless will be over. We are outnumbered though. Sorry to say the low income, single mothers, illegal immigrants and the overwhelming number of hispanics and blacks in this country have outnumbered the middle class, whites, and people that actually work and pay taxes. I am fearful for my children. The polls are saying the exact same thing, so before you say I am racist I am only stating the obvious!
Please vote for ROMNEY!

Obama sucks but Romney will be just as bad if not worse. That man has no idea what middle class even is, or even upper. He only knows of "elite" Republicans needs to get it in gear fast and throw someone else in the race if they want any chance. The past two presidential races almost every canidate has been a joke.

Given us? I don't expect anything from a president but leadership. Keep the government off our backs and make sure we have our freedom. Obama has done nothing but blame everything on the past administration. Get over it. Good leaders bring people together. Reagan, Clinton. Remember the video of the girl that said after Obummer was elected she wouldn't have to worry about her house payment, car payment etc anymore? I would love to see someone interview her now. How's that workin out for you?

Finally the faker makes sense. Just wish he knew how bad TIF's were.....

TIF's can be bad but they are NOT all the same, Columbia put together a TIF to include the school district land that paid for over 1 million bucks worth of improvements and they got a free park. Not to mention the car dealer, Walgreens, CVS, a bank, two manufacturing companies and a few other companies that wold NOT be here, many of which bring in large sales tax dollars.

Anyone with 1/2 a brain can see the positives and it's clearly why the school board, county board, city council and many other organizations were in FAVOR of another TIF.

If "COLUMBIA'S" TIF is so bad, please explain this to all the voters reading this why and make it a valid factual in depth argument, we'll see who makes the most sense.

doesn't look like the faking my name is working for ya.

The TIF is not a good idea for columbia. I just read an article on line about why up and coming cities should not offer then since they are designed for worn out and down and out areas. Maybe Columbia fits that mold?

Hey Faker, drop dead loser. You are bipolarized.

The Obama administration made quick decisions that saved the economy from total collapse. The blind are just to hateful to realise that. If it wasn't for those hated bailouts, the financial system would have collapsed, putting us in a depression that would have dwarfed the 20's, and the auto industry would be non existant. Most of the loans have been payrd back with interest with the one exception of AIG, but they plan to have it payed off in 3 years with interest. Blame should be put on previous administrations, both pubs and dems. Those that support Romney must treasure those that have all those financial accounts in offshore hideouts, like the Cayman Islands. If that doesn't spell tax evader to you supporters, then if he is elected, you will get what you deserve, the rich getting richer at the expense of the middle class. How can one deny that he has purchased his position with millions of dollars and outragious negative campaigning. Just the kind of guy we need huh.

You are certainly entitled to be critical of the process. But, ask yourself this....Is America seeing the best possible person for its highest offices in the land?? For President or for Congress? Who..........wants to be subjected to the "gotcha" for every step you make or words you say! Who among us is perfect...yet the expectation is that our elected officials must be 'cleansed' beyond reproach.
I applaud anyone who puts themselves thru this ridiculous gauntlet! Yet, with all this, we elect someone who had no leadership experience, gets voted in ON "hope", and now we question those who at least come with SOME vision...and hope?!
Come on folks! Get a grip. Be part of the rational dialouge and debate instead of dissing the few folks in this country who say....yes!...I will throw myself out there, for all to criticze me...for the betterment of this country.

Bain Capital bought companies, leveraged them with debt, bankrupted them and left the employee pensions in shambles and left the employees looking for work elsewhere. Bain pocketed the juice it squeezed, rinse and repeat. I will support the ideas of Ron Paul, at least he won't support the kill for profit military complex.

Mr. Romney led a company of people who met their objectives, we need an organized, cost and job cutting approach to our government before we are broke and all in a soup line. Go Romney.
