Love, love, love Creative Kids and my kids do too. From the staff that truly cares about my children, to the structure and the educational base they have given them, to the fun they have there every day, I can not say enough good things about Creative Kids. We were lucky enough to have it recommended to us years ago and I can not imagine taking my kids anywhere else.

Great place, great staff and great family running the business. You cannot go wrong there.

My kids never went there, but i wish they had! They require a higher level of education for their staff than any other in columbia - no high schoolers there! The part-timers even have to have college credit hours. Also, a local kindergarten teacher i know says she can always tell the kids who went there because they are far more prepared for school.

Creative Kids does not have the market on quality childcare. Other good centers in Columbia...check them out!

I totally agree. Check out the other centers in our area first before making a decision.

Thanks for all the feedback, they dont take children until they are about 2 1/2 or they are close to being potty trained. I am now looking around for other centers.....would love feedback on carrot patch and lighthouse. I am going to check them out early next week.

Be careful with the carrot patch and the lighthouse.

Unpleasant experiences with both carrot patch and lighthouse. Consider hilltop kids, they are great.

If it's an option for you, look into Daytime Discoveries in Valmeyer. The pre-K program is stellar and I particularly like the infant caregivers. I would love to give names and praise but it would turn into the typical Topix gossip/bad mouthing.

what do you think it means? i had a child at the lighthouse and my sister had a child at carrot patch. neither of us would ever recommend those centers. issues ranged from basic neglect to dishonesty parents.

Now you're just trying to stir up gossip. They told you they didn't care for the place. Be a mom and check out the places for yourself instead of sitting at the computer waiting for someone else to give you the answer.

I say stay at home and take care of your children yourself! Then you don't have to worry about who's taking care of your children and how well they are being taken care of!

I don't think "Curious One" is trying to stir up gossip. Sounds like wanting to get some honest opinions. Doesn't necessarily mean that he or she has not or will not check out daycares.

"Ranges from basic neglect to dishonesty with parents". Curious was given the answer, and yet poked around for more. If she's ok with "basic neglect and dishonesty with parents" and needed MORE of a reason not to go, fine. Maybe she wasn't trying to stir up gossip.(Doubtful) Honest answers and Topix, sounds legit.

Love love love Creative Kids. They have always worked closely with school district to ensure they are preparing the children for what will be expected once in school. I too was told by teachers they could tell if their student was a Creative Kid. And most I know remained excellent above average students prepared for school. Thats my plug...I know others have had good experiences elsewhere though too. Good luck.
