Kaskaskia Roadhouse in Burksville is a great place to eat. The food taste great and is reasonably priced. The fish and chicken is better than mom used to make. Good! Good! Good!

Bully's is near the Market Place, behind Mc Donald's.

I'd say the Thai house is unique for Columbia, but I also agree Joe Boccardi's is good, and also the comment about going to Gallagher's in Waterloo. You can't lose with any of the three.

Tequila's has the best margaritas in town.
The food isn't too bad either. Cheap! Cheap!

I agree, both places are excellent. But if you're in Waterloo, JV's has really good food too. Try the stuffed olives, good stuff. And they also have Chicken & Dumplings on certain nights!!

My wife and i moved to columbia a few years ago and although we try to support local restaruants, it is hard in columbia. The service at nearly every place (except Thai House, Bully's and maybe Tequila's) is pathetic. Tiny's used to be really good and is still a great place to have a beer or margarita on their patio, but the food and service leaves alot to desire. Bocardi's is a joke-between the frozen dinner entree's that masquerade as fresh italian food and the attraction of the kitchen and waitstaff smoking and littering main street with cigarette butts it is impossible to even consider it for dinner. Gallagher's in Waterloo is definitely worth the drive. Also, Venezia's stuffed pizza's are worth the wait and the heat (no air conditioning).
