Went there for dinner tonight, food was great and the place is classy, hard to believe it ever was Main St Tavern before, they did a great job with transforming it, this place is what Columbia needed

Give me a break! The new place hasn't been open a week and topix trolls are ripping on the owners.

Welcome Grill and Grape! I'll be in this weekend and hope to come back often. We've needed you in town and we appreciate you being here...in spite of what a handful of mean little impotent posters with narrow minds on this board think.

yeah, we needed a tiny place with inadequate parking so more people can clutter up Main street as if the gymnastics place isn't enough traffic there. We all need more drunks on Main too------could you have picked a worse location?

Can't believe they are dissing the union workers------if you want to pretend you are a big roller, don't be cheap! Break out the wallet and hire the quality union workers!!

No one is REQUIRED to hire union workers. If someone non-union can do the job cheaper, they should get the work.

And my husband was in a union for years. Still holds true that sometimes non-union labor is much cheaper and still as good.

Also, classy of them them to stand outside with flyers after the opening. You didn't get the job, move on and get over it.

To "cheap, cheap, cheap". Let me get this straight. The owner of Grill and Grape, who owns his own construction company, remodels a building he owns, using his own company, works weekends and evenings to get this done, and you think he should hire union workers. I am sure he pays his employees well, otherwise they would not work for him. More importantly, he provided employment while a lot of other carpenters, electricians, and laborers are looking for awork. I say hat's off to Grill and Grape to have the guts to venture into the food business during these economic times.

Are all of his workers legal to work in US? Just curious? Noticed some guys out front that didn't seem to speak English.

I stopped by the Grape and Grill and enjoyed it and will be back. I don't appreciate the Union cry babies out front when asked if I saw their flyer my response was "Yeah, I read it.". One of the union pussies said "F---K That Guy". Had I not been in a good mood and on my way to pick up my kids, that union punk would have had his ass pounded up and down Main st. So yes, I will be back and I will be saying something to the union cry babies every time I see them.

the last bastion of union strength is the government worker. wether police fire or public works, thats why all jobs got exported and the union got left behind they didnt change with the times. the only target is govment, i smell change but not hope.
