I worked there when they first opened and I was fresh out of High School, so I am not sure the environment today. I do know however that the owner is a wondeful woman, who was a nurse prior to this and has a big heart for children. Many times she invited me to spend Christmas with her family so I wasnt alone. I would send my children there any day if i needed a day care

I do in home daycare. Much cheaper than a center, and a home environment is much better in my opinion. If anyone needs more info, let me know!
I have openings and very good rates.

My kids have attended the Lighthouse for 9 yrs now. Since the very beginning. They are a wonderful daycare! The teachers care and my kids love going there. There have been a few problems here and there as no place is perfect, however the situation was always resolved quickly and efficiently. I left there for once, for a cheaper rate, and thats exactly the service I got from the other daycare. We were only there for two weeks and came right back.

my daughter has been attending the lighthouse for a couple of months now and i have to say it's the best daycare. my daughter has a rare chromosome disorder that causes mental retardation and the teachers and other children are just awsome w/ her. they've done all they can to make her comfortable. they allow all 4 of her therapists to come in to her therapies every week. they are also in the process of resurfacing the toddler playground to accomodate the stander that she will soon be getting. i concidered the carrot patch b/4 the lighthouse and i'm glad i decided to go w/ the decicion that i did.

Kadykats mom is right. The lighthouse is wonderful. I worked there for 5 years. The teachers are wonderful, fun and loving. Mary Kay is a hard working loving woman. Her mission is to provide parents with safe, affordable daycare. Personally speaking- I believe it goes beyond daycare. These teachers get to know your kids- and get to know you as a parent. The teachers have ongoing education- and are always looking to learn something new about the latest ways to teach kids. The facility is always clean, bright and safe. Before you go to a home based daycare- I ask you to tour the Lighthouse. I assure you that you will not be dissapointed. Here is a direct link to their website. Call and get a tour!

If you are looking for great affordable childcare, my fiance used to work at the LightHouse and now provides her own home daycare service at affordable rates. We have a wonderful facility set up and I invite anyone looking for fun and caring childcare where your children can learn and socialize to come and visit. Email me at n_palmer@charter.net for more information.

My ds attented the Lighthouse from 1 year old until he went to kindergarten. It was a fine daycare. The teachers are great. The director Cindy is a fruitcake though.
