Having worked with Deb Henton before at Central office, I pray they select her. She is by far the hardest working and most intelligent indivdual that I have met. Deb also has a great reputation and credentials. She would do a great job and would likely be here for a long time.

the person who could do no wrong as a gov employee, but who would be under the same scrutiny as others in the private sector.

We should get the best candidate. If they are from Alaska, so be it.

I wouldn't want the job. But the job I would want is to be the company that the district paid to search the ends of the earth to come up with this list of candidates.

gov jobs aren't filled on the basis of who 'works hard'. if they were there wouldn't be a need to meet racial quotas.
cmon junta, u know who's gonna get the job. stop playn.....
I agree most jobs gov or not are filled by most quantified or hardest working. If they were a lot less white males would be working. They really want to hire their own, no matter how unqualified they are. WM object the most to having good testing in place for hiring.

Just think about it, how did you get your first real job - it was who you, your close friends or your family knew.

I worked with Deb years ago when she was a teacher in South Washington County Schools. She was a fine teacher who kept in mind the needs of all students. Someone referred to her as a SPPS insider, but she really wasn't in St Paul all that long. I hope she receives strong consideration.

You mean like Petters, Madoff, the guys who ran Arthur Anderson, ADM, Qwest, Blackwell, Toyota, Erick Prince, United Healthcare, Boston Scientific, John Sanford, etc etc etc.

I adamantly oppose anyone hired under Maria Catastrophe! If I see another box of "curriculum" that we (meaning tax payers) paid for that is untested, poorly researched and just plain bad, hit my classroom, I am going to flip!
Ask Stachel and Silva how many new 'initiatives' they have forced in schools with little to no support.
Ask how they have spent the ARAA/Obama money.
Ask when the last time any of the Ivory Tower have actually talked to kids.

There are too many questions that go unanswered by the self-serving of 360!

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Capricorn

Your self-confidence bubbles over as the Sun enters your sign at the Solstice, bringing a more positive and resilient atmosphere. This happy state of affairs will continue for the next four weeks, so personal magnetism is the name of the game. It's also a marvellous opportunity to get new projects off the ground, taking the initiative whenever possible. Think positive! And don't forget to write down your New Year's resolutions.
