My husband has a very good job offer in Kalispell Montana. We are considering moving there. I would like some info on how it really is to live there. We have 3 girls ages 16,13 and 8. Wondering how the school systems are and if kids are welcoming to outsiders there. We live in a very small town now. We both love the outdoors and hunting and fishing. Love the idea of living around the mountains. Arent afraid of the winters, we love snow and cold weather. Just worried about the schools and if my girls will fit in and other kids be accepting to them.
Are drugs a big thing there...
What do kids do for fun?
Looking at Glacier High School, any thoughts on that school
Don't want to live in town or in subdivision. Looking for a house with at least 5 acres..

Keep the family together through outdoors activities: camping fishing hiking biking ... There is little else for teens. Church is highly recommended.
Good luck to you and your family. We are a great town!!

Hello,

Are you still I'll looking to move? I moved to Whitefish last year and it's awesome. I would suggest you look at the West Valley area. Personally I am not a fan at all of the kalispell schools, glacier HS is very nice but you don't want your kids going to kalispell middle school, IMO.

Also avoid east Kalispell and Columbia Falls. the bad attitudes are people not wanting you to move here because a history of Californians moving here trying to meddle with things. Lately however it's been mostly Texans.

montana is a lovely state and according to the latest polls had the happiest and fittest people in the country.

Avoid landlord jerry and/or sandy albanese. Jerry lied to me during the negotiation of the lease, then wouldn't refund my money two days later. He kept my $900 deposit and he's in ca so good luck getting him to court in mt. Ripoff artist.
The Flathead Valley is a great place with many opportunities. Awesome place to live.

Hiker, in small claim you file where the transaction took place. If it happened here in MT, you file here and it is Jerrys responsibility to be HERE. if he's in CA and can't make it you win. It's that simple. We have great collections companies here. Trust me on this, I rock the small claims scene.
