Notice how they indicate the property rax relief is from future increases. That is certainly not the same as property tax reduction - is it.

They have done it again!

I hope the Senate padded an extra 2 million for the Taj Mahal of the north, Penn Harris Madison high school in Mishawaka. If not, when it gets to the House, Craig Fry will not vote for it.
The average Hoosier would be astounded by the opulence of the PHM facility. If only each tax payer could see the wonderful effect their dollars have wrought, a monument would be raised to honor Craig Fry. Without Craig Fry's visionary "hold out until I get my way" theory of representation, Hoosiers would likely have wasted their money on food, clothes, utilities, and the like.
I wonder what Craig Fry was holding out for when he voted against the health insurance package for the uninsured.

It must be tough to spend taxpayers momey! Have any of them really thought of just cutting spending? I have voted GOP most of my years, but there isn't any difference between the parties anymore, except for a few good ones on both sides of the aisle. Very disappointed again, more
spending. If spending more on education showed up on the test scores, fine, but seems like most of the $$ goes for the perks, buildings, etc. Other spending under misc., really doesn't explain the increase.

County income tax is collected by each county. Each county has it's own percentage they keep/charge from your earnings.

They lower our property tax so that it can be made up in taxes collected by each county. After the counties are finished adding on the taxes, we probably would have been better off in the long run with the property taxes left as is.
