Pollution in Bluebell River

Hi, I grew up in Colombia City, and I used to play in the Bluebell River. I just recently visited the river. I was surprised at the level of pollution. There was an old TV set, and I could smell the sewage. That river is so small, when I was a kid, I used to build dams across it to catch fish. Why, pray tell, can't it be cleaned up? That water goes to the Wabash, White, Ohio, Mississippi and then to the Gulf of Mexico. I know that somebody there cares enough to do something.

I used to catch clams and mussels. There were numerous fish in the river too. Professional trappers hauled many fox, muscrat, and racoons from the area. I grew up in Columbia City. It is a beautiful little town. It is inexcusable that so much pollution is allowed in the Bluebell River. Maybe the mayor of Columbia City Indiana might be willing to clean up the Bluebell River for future generations of grimey children to enjoy. The world is changing too! Remember, a guy sitting in an arm chair in Germany tonight could be on the Bluebell tomorrow with a fly rod.
