To be fair; they should include heterosexual marriage in the amendment
.
Then gays can vote to outlaw straight people's marriages

This is the way in which a once great nation wastes its time and money .. A sign of collective hysteria .. perhaps ..?

All of the problems trace to abusive religious superstitions that cannot be proven in any court of law
.
So when we launch our next great nation; religion will be criminalized

Gee ... what a surprise ... both versions of the ads were all white people. Let's talk about. narrow minds living in a bubble.
I'll never understand the "protect marriage" argument. Protecting it from what? Non-christian, non hetero, non-white people?
As a native-born Hoosier, I'm appalled at the waste of time and money while real people are struggling just to survive day to day.

It sounds like the proposed amendment will be amended to remove he 2nd sentence- which bans civil unions as well. That would mean the new version would have to be passed twice by the legislature, which effectively delays any ballot vote for another year or two.

That may be how the reasonable GOP legislators kill this.

It wouldn't work. Unlike support for gay marriage, the overwhelming support for straight marriage is real.
