Very poor wording in the first sentence in the story. It makes it seem that the agents shot the man as punishment for not showing up in court. Must be a really tough judge. Instead of ordering a bench warrant for his arrest he orders him to be executed.

Good enough. Maybe we will save some tax dollars by not sending him to jail. Great job to the marshalls

Pomonaboy, at first glance you might think it was just "poor wording" that caused the sentence to imply that the victim was shot by officers because he failed to show up in court. But in reality, this is no mistake, but an intentional smear by the Daily Bulletin to show officers in a bad light as revenge for the media not being allowed access into the crime scene.
Instead of fair reporting, the Daily bulletin is showing their vindictiveness by making a point of announcing that they were denied access to the scene, and now purposely wording a lead sentence to put the officers in a bad light.
The fact is, that this was an officer involved shooting and because of that it is a very sensitive situation and needs careful investigation of the scene by forensic investigators and detectives. The last thing they need is a bunch of clumsy reporters trampeling over the evidence or accidentally dropping something that might be perceived as evidence. The reporters know as well as we do that they don't need physically cross the taped off area or step over the tape and be admitted inside the crime scene to properly report the story.
The Daily Report is showing their well-known manipulation and distortion of the facts by trying vent their trantrum by running this first sentence which either shows their vindictiveness or just plain juvenile writing skills.

I did not know that being shot was the punishment for no showing up to the courthouse. Maybe next time I get ticket I will show up on time, this is very tough law.

Good Guys ( U.S. Marshals)1. Bad guy (suspect) 0.

Thank God they killed him before he had a chance to kill the Officers.

Let me guess,,,,,Dead mans family will probably try and sue The Feds (good luck).

The famila will build this guy up to be an upstanding person who was starting to do good. LAMO.

And last but not least, his famila will have a car wash to pay for his funeral.

GOOD RIDDANCE.

Lets see the facts here, "Convicted Chester the Molester" + Missed court date for sentencing(meaning he WAS convicted)+ Hand Gun + 2 Armed US Marshalls looking for him fairly quickly sounds like this guy got what he was looking for fairly quickly. That is what I say "MY TAX DOLLARS" are being spent with my approval!!! Good work fellas!!! The only sad part is that these 2 officers now need to live with pulling that trigger. However, as a 92336 tax paying citizen, I say thank you for cleaning my block up!!!

True he was wrong for the child porn. But you people don't even know one thing about the family. For one his father just died not more than two months ago. Which doesn't have anything to do with this case except imagine how his family is feeling. His case is probably a shock to them.

Typical liberal media tactic. Twist, stretch, rearrange the truth, so it sounds like something it's not. They know a lot of people will not read the entire story.

Pomona Gangmember, the jokes on you. You did not make Mr. Oakes, pronounced like "Jokes" without the "J", nothing like Oakie at all. So not only did you not make Mr. Oakes look bad, you also made yourself look like an ignorant fool. And by identifying your self as "Pomona Gangmember" you also made Pomona Gangmembers look dumb.

Guess the piece of crap should have followed the law--showed up for court and not be in possession of a firearm. What a novel idea--a #@%*&%$ following the law!!!!

Bench Warrant for child porn huh? Should never have been bonded out in the first place. He what he deserved. Too bad he didn't suffer a little bit more.
Suppose the family will suffer plenty; that's good enough for me.

You weren't there; get a life. Mayve one day you'll be lucky enough to have someone take pictures of your little ones naked. You can then defend them in the same manner as you are this dirtbag.
People like you and your bleeding hearts are whats driving this country's justice system into the ground.

Who gives a crap about his family?!? They probably bailed him out so he could get his rocks off while looking at pictures of children engaged in sex acts. All I care about is that my child, and all children are a little bit safer now that he's slowly rotting away.
