Lame Deer man pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a 14 year old girl

A Lame Deer man accused of sexually abusing a young girl, with the mental capacity of a 4 to 6 year old, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court. via KXLF

Can anyone inform me if Lame Deer (the town) was named after an old time Cheyenne warrior with the
same name and was he killed in the early 1880s near present Lame Deer? As a history researcher of Southeastern Montana, I read a story were a pre-reservation Cheyenne warrior was killed in a skirmish with the U. S. Army (about 1880?) just south of the present town of Lame Deer. Or am I thinking of another warrior?

I don't think so, to my understanding the town Lame Deer is Cheyenne, which is part of the Algonquian language, and Lame Deer was Lakotan, part of the Sioux language. Hope I helped. And i hope that Killsnight guy spends a long time in jail. Disgusting, mentally-defective perverted.
