Not enough info on this, They state that Wood was wounded after a domestic gun fight. Who was shooting at who. Was Wood protecting himself or did he start the shoot out? It says he was shot again by police. Did the cops shoot him first? Did Wood fire on the Police? Was he protecting himself from someone or tyrants. Just not enough info on this.. Poor story,

Another station said the 911 call came from his wife saying " I just shot him"

I love the journalistic integrity displayed with the fluff term, "tense state police standoff."

I have never known a police standoff of any sort to be anything other than tense.

Has anyone ever heard of a "casual, non-chalant standoff"?

Amazing, His wife shoots him then the cowboy cops show up and shoot him again because he won't come out for medical treatment. They didn't need to force a confrontation. Just out of control cowboy " I'm In Charge " cops. They should be sue to no end. Just who was they there to protect and serve besides their own ego's.

Unfortunately I have. I used to work in corrections and every once in a while, an inmate would refuse to "lock in". Well, that's when the real liberalism in corrections kicked in. The powers that be would ask the inmate "what can we do for you to de-escalate this situation? Can we get you an extra phone call? Let's talk about what's bothering you today." It's no wonder the inmates keep coming back. They treat the inmates with more respect than they do the staff. Liberalism at its worst.

Colrain Resident,

Dude, the man was suffering from a gunshot. All of you like minded idiots would have cried bloody murder if the cops had just hung out outside the home and drank coffee and ate donuts while he slowly bled out. Instead, knowing he was armed and seriously wounded, they went inside to help him and the dude forced their hand. Don't pull a gun on the cops or any law abiding citizen with a gun for that matter.

Apparently Ronnie's dark side reared it's ugly head and left Glenda and the police with no other options

Hey Jackoffmama, You are an ahole. Anyone who doesn't agree with your fat a** is an idiot. Too bad the jerk wasn't holding you hostage and threatening to blow out your non-existant brain, since the cops would have no reason not to charge in.

Let's see. This fellow is wounded by someone (his wife?), the cops show up, the dazed and obviously in shock guy won't come out of his house. After only a few hours the state cops storm the place, and then kill him. Who was he a threat to prior to storming the place? Why was this necessary? Seems like if someone was wounded it would be easy to be disoriented, and decision making might not be easy.

Looks like the cops are cowboys looking for a little rodeo fun. Absolutely unnecessary.

And now they are doing an autopsy to see which bullet killed the guy. He was alive when they stormed the place, and dead soon after. Let's watch the staties circle the wagons, once again, and we'll see how the story changes over the next few days.

Let me just say I am part of the family and I do belive from all I know given the facts I heard this was justifyed by everyone involeved from family to the police that handled the stand of following it.It is hard for all of the people involved, and further more to all the people who think the police are like cowboys think about if you had someone point a gun at you dazed or not what would you do?I would protect myself so I could return home to my family.

Yes, your grammar is far to simple for a man of my intelect to understand. But surely you spend a great deal of time trying to use the english language in a way others can understand, but if you can't you can't.
