Isn't there some way our law enforcement officers (city and county) could fine a farmer if they have to continually go to put his livestock back in the pen? There is one location in the city where they have to go almost every single day! At one time I had heard about them possibly having a law similar to this that would deal with alarms. Same difference. I'm quite sure if they started handing out fines, some fences would get repaired!

That is a good idea, God knows officers should not have to deal with animals getting out every day. If they charged the farmers I am sure they would fix those fences.

If a farmer can not keep his livestock in the pasture, then he should get rid of the livestock. I also know that law enforcement are called to that particular spot one and more times a day. I would be ashamed for the public to know that my cows get out daily and I don't have the ability to stop them. My concern would not only be that I am causing law enforcement time and trouble, but that my cows may cause an accident and possibly hurt or kill an innocent driver or passenger. I would be afraid of a lawsuit. By the way, I understand cows getting out occasionaly, but not daily.

There is a great difference between alarms and animals!
