I just cant image any conservative christian member that wouldnt be outrage over the spending of great sums of money for a cause that is not worthy of it attention when there are more important things in this world that this money could be spent on in doing good works.

In November 2008 Focus on the family laid off 20% of its workforce and sold off real estate holdings just to make ends meet.

If the gays speed up their Citizenship Equality campaign they can outrun Focus on the Family's dwindling finances run it to the poorhouse.

So they are buying more discrimination now? They are OBSESSED with gay people, gay marriage, and gay sex. These people need to get a life. I wouldn't doubt that a percentage of money donated to FOF goes in the pockets of James Dobson and the few other elite leaders. I think the IRS should keep an eye on these people to make sure they are following the law.

We had more money for the no on one campaign than the yes on one campaign and still lost. It takes more than money to fight for gay rights, it takes people and a message but those who voted yes on one are full of hate. That is half the population of Maine the other half who voted no are smarter and better educated. We lost this battle but must regroup and fight for our right too marry in a court case that needs to go to the supreme court to rule. our civil rights are under attack.

A big part of the problem is out of state bigot money. The solution to this is clear. Get ballots in EVERY state that doesn't have marriage equality. Then the out of state bigots won't send their money away, since they will need to focus it in their own state. Do this EVERY election, until there are no more states that DON'T have FULL marriage equality.

Focus on the "family" eh? How many familes are homeless and hungry? Should the focus be on really helping families in stead of a thinly veiled social agenda. More like focus on my hate.

567,593 registered voters participated in the Maine election.

The opposing sides collected $6,500,000 to finance the two campaigns.

That totals out to $11.45 per vote.

Good for FOF!

Maine voters were bombarded with anti-family money from out of state. FOF helped get the truth in view.

It's interesting that something I've seen recently on these boards has struck me as true: These "christians" are such gullible losers.

Their head-earned money is being used to fight this???

And from such a scummy, demonic, filthy organization that wants to *DESTROY* families and *RAPE* them and their children of their rights.

Focus on the Family has got to be one of the scummiest, filthiest organizations known to man; they reek of it; they stink of it; the stink of the marks on their foreheads poisons this land; they are adherents to the prince of all lies, satan himself.

Another person cheers for the rape of families and innocent children.

Why not just attempt to *LEGALIZE RAPE* if all you anti-family, Nazi-hateful people love it so much?

I think this is wonderful. It shows the powerful results that can happen when people of faith connect. America is waking up!

If you believe that, you haven't been paying attention. Your side (the side of hate, bigotry and discrimination) is losing, faster than I would have believed possible 10 short years ago. People are starting to wake up to the fact that their GLBT neighbors and cooworkers aren't that different from them, and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Which is why ballot issues (that never should have been up for a vote in the first place), which we were losing at a 40 percentage point spread, are now being one (anti-discrimination issues, and other ballot issues (also never should have been up for a vote), which we couldn't even get heard before, then we were losing by 40 percentage point spread, we are now losing by 3-4% point spreads. Just a few more people to convince to be fair, and you can say goodbye to your short term victories.(In other words, you won this battle, but you are losing the war.)

Know what just hit me?

You know you're losing, and thus *you spam the boards with posts* claiming you're "winning." The "rooster" guy said it best.

These people could be your friends. Keep fighting them, and you keep getting to feel like crap about yourself.

But why not get back to the thread where you're being attacked by several posters for talking about children like they were trash. Perhaps I'm being unfair; you didn't really *intend* to do that, but you made a virulently anti-gay statement, and that's how people took it.

Unfortunately for you.

I think some people sort of *take a shit* on the U.S. Constitution when nobody's looking. It dishonors them as well as America.

The constitution only applies to religions when the religion's rights are being infringed on. When religions shit on the constitution thats ok.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Taurus

This is a day for turning your attention to your finances, especially if you're currently working on the budget for domestic improvements or changes. Talk to the other people concerned and really listen to what they're saying. They'll have some great insights. It will be far more productive to work as a harmonious team rather than as warring factions.
