I wonder what they will charge for events? I can only imagine how much it is costing to refurbish that building!

Knowing the owners, it will cost a pretty penny I am sure.

How is that a negative comment? Do you think it will be really inexpensive to rent it out? I am happy to see another building refurbished! No need to get so defensive right off the bat, let everyone have an opinion and voice please.

I am from Colorado City also, been here many years. I see your posting from Austin, then California? I will be interested to see what the prices are for having an event there, because I would love to see everyone be able to use the place if they can afford it. I'm sorry you felt raising the question of price was negative, when in fact it's just being realistic and curious. And if your wanting people to be quiet, it's funny your here on Topix...best place to ask questions and tell it like it is!

Very mature response angel and you certainly put me in my place. Again, glad a building here is being saved from demolition and we hope it is an affordable option for everyone in town. Might reserve it for our wedding anniversary celebration if possible. We are also certain that Cherry and Robert will be a bit more diplomatic and courteous when answering questions.

Psalm 52
1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero?
Why do you boast all day long,
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
2 You who practice deceit,
your tongue plots destruction;
it is like a sharpened razor.
3 You love evil rather than good,
falsehood rather than speaking the truth.[c]
4 You love every harmful word,
you deceitful tongue!
5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin:
He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent;
he will uproot you from the land of the living.
6 The righteous will see and fear;
they will laugh at you, saying,
7 “Here now is the man
who did not make God his stronghold
but trusted in his great wealth
and grew strong by destroying others!”

What are you trying to say?
Are you saying the Hoback's are evil?

Your eternal life: I see that you posted this same scripture on another thread about the Petticoats on the Prairie. Since you have not responded to my comment and those comments posted on the Petticoats thread. It leads me to one conclusion and that is you have some serious mental health issues and you need to get back on your medication.

CCity is not trying to out do surrounding towns. We are wanting our town to be the best it can be, just like Sweetwater, Snyder, and Big Spring want the best for their towns. Be happy for progress in Sweetwater and all of the other litter towns. Things are looking up for all of us.
