Whatever happened to the lawsuit the Mayor filed against the City? When she wasn't allowed to vote on the Mayor pro-tem? I would think you really shouldn't be running for reelection when you sue the City you are supposed to be in support of, but that's just my opinion. Seems like we stopped hearing about it, so wondering if a settlement was made?

After Kampher ran out, Hiser and city laywer backed down admitted they were wrong, mayor can vote, you see it was all about hiser being mayor protem again
he didin't want ,contreas to be mayor protem and I am of opinion that the reason Baum is running is because reilly, banks, and hiser talked him into running ,this group then will put hiser as mayor protem, baum will step down due to his health and hiser's dream will come true , and he will do his underhanded best to bring kampher back.

Coloradoian I don't recall Mayor suing City, so there could NOT be a settlement,
the legitation was against kampher and sheardon , because of people like Carol Sue you are allowed YOUR opinion, and the Carol Sue had to press against kampher and sheardon so she could be allowed her RIGHTS, and just like he did in Raton NW kampher run so he wouldn't be charged, I only hope that whereever kampher applies a complete background is completed before any town hires him.

The city council agendas called for executive sessions to discuss pending ligation against the city, Mayor Dakan's law suit.

If the lawsuit did not affect the city, why was it on more than one of the city council agendas at the time? Check out the city council agenda archives.

kampher's agendas often did not follow the toma, he would list this as i think kampher worded it something like threatening litigation against the city, when in fact it was litigation against kampher and sheardon, now my question was who paid for lawyer for kampher and sheardon? They would have had to pay for representation until suit went to court and judge ruled one way or the other, if judge ruled in favor of kampher and sheardon then OUR TAX dollars would pay for their legal expense,if judge ruled in favor of Dakan, then TAX dollars would be used to pay back Dakan what she had spent. kampher and sheardon need to pay back any TAX dollars that was spent . This as per Texas Attorney General Opinion.

So the long and short of it is that Carol Sue' lawsuit would have cost the city taxpayers she says she is so worried about.

You have your opinion, I have mine... i'll not bite, so as to not fight, I stated facts as I know them. My opinion if any money was spent by city on litigation kampher and sheardon should pay it back, as until litigation went to court and was settled, the city cannot pay attorney fees for those two, i am of opinion court would have found in favor of Mayor, so the actions of those two cost the city Tax payers.
