I have heard different stories about Dakan running again, I would hope she won't be on the ballot in any capacity. Who do you think could do the job of turning this town back around?

I can say who I don't want to see run....Carol Dakan, Keith Hizer or Bob Brookshire. Out of all the ones on the current council, seems to me the only one with any common sense is Jason Castillo.

No doubt Jim Baum will be mayor if he so desires, realize the Mayor is a figure head vote only counts in tie vote. The citizens will need to turn city around, attend meetings, tell council member what you want them to do for our city.

I have spoken with Justin Harris , and am all but sure he and Jim will not be running. So as much we'd all like to see them come back we are going to have to find some new people to run. I have a sinking feeling that Hiser will be running for mayor , which will leave his seat open. Any ideas ?

Hiser cost the City so much money, he does not need to even be thinking of running for Mayor...what a joke!

What money? Wind turbines? You have no idea what you are talking about. Do you see any wind turbines going up ANYWHERE around the city's land.

Keith is a nice guy. Good thing you're a past volunteer, stay out of the way if you want to insult good intentioned people about something you know nothing about.

I do know what I am talking about...it was in the newspaper and on the radio. He is the reason the City didn't get Wind Turbines, because he thought he should be paid a ridiculous amount of money to be bought out of his lease. He was basically trying extort money from the City. Seems like a selfish move to me, nice guy or not.

You are right there are NO wind turbines, thanks to Mr Hiser, he would not come to an agreement with the city on his lease...cost the city about 50,000 a year... nice pocket change, huh??

Third planet has not developed any of the properties that they leased south of I-20 near the land arond that belonging to the City. That's because they there are not enough transmission lines and because they cannot even operate what they already have at capacity. If you knew anything about the situation rather than what you have been told by the radio (which is 100% biased) you would know that the city doesn't have that much land to begin with, that third planet is a terrible company that is screwing a lot of local landowners (they represented $15,000 per year per turbine, in reality folks are getting $3000 per year per turbine if anything) and that there would not be turbines on the City's land regardless of whether Hiser agreed to get screwed by the City or not. I know because I am one the few in Mitchell County who got turbines on their land and have worked with the attorney's and developers who actually have a clue what is going on. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. What you are saying are flat out lies.
