Wayne Covil is the Senior Reporter at WTVR. He joined WTVR in December of 1992, when he opened up the stations Tri Cities Bureau in Petersburg.

Wayne Covil is a class act in every way, I had the pleasure of working with him in the 1990s from his coverage of the tornado to more mundane things like false reported fires that he would always respond to as if they were the top story of the year. Wayne has and still has the best interest of the area at heart and is a constant worker to make things better for all in the Tri City and surrounding areas. Wayne, you are "Good People", nuff said.
