Looks as if Larry Waters had better open the checkbook and start writing. This boy is going to win, due to the stupidity and ineptness of the sheriff's office which is a well known fact in this county. That nurse should hang too, hear that Tammy Finchum LPN? You should never practice again, and the family of this man hopefully will make sure of that, rightfully so. You have breached your obligations and violated the nurse practice act.
Hey Hoss, ever hear of Forest Gump? Stupid is as stupid does. Take a lesson fat boy. Wonder if the McDaniel family knows too of the strange death of Billy Duane Foster.
Perhaps Mr. McDaniel's and Mr. Foster's counsel should talk with some of the locals who know exactly what happens here.
Look out Larry. Your stupid fat puppeteer Hossie is going to break the bank! Your bank!

Because Dolly loves some Sevier County.

yup...they better go ahead and come up with a settlement deal. how they reacted is unacceptable.
he deserves to have enough money to live in his own home with a private nurse to care for him instead of being stuck in a nursing home because people on a power trip didn't do their job.

He won't get a dime....it is called TORT and besides he was a convicted criminal!
Now he can sue the other inmates he mouthed off too and started the fight with to see what he gets. It won't be much.
If you are going to be stupid you had better be tough...STUPID HURTS and can get you killed.

spoken like a true republicant.
just because someone was charged with a crime doesn't mean they deserve to have the crap beat out of them to the point they have to depend on someone else to wipe their butt for the rest of their life.
this whole "he was a criminal" defense is SO beyond stupid i can't even think of the words for it.
it's not like someone beat him into his paralyzed state because he had molested or raped small children. had that been the case, i might not have any sympathy. however, he was charged with a DUI...something many people get charged with every day. lots of very intelligent, professional people have been convincted of a DUI. it's a dumb, dumb decision that lots of good people make all the time. assuming that they got pulled over and didn't crash and kill innocent people, getting charged with a DUI should not result in your life being taken away and that is basically what has happened here!
it seriously embarrasses me as a nurse that the "medical staff" on hand responded in the way they did. from reading other posts, it looks like the nurse was a LPN. i can't say for sure that the outcome would have been different had it been a RN, but i would hope so. see what happens when you try to save a dime? they tried to employ a LPN instead of a RN in order to save a buck. like they say, "the cheap comes out expensive."
this man deserves every dime he gets and every employee involved that night should be out of a job.

He wrote out a check with his dumb Baptist Bastard mouth that his dumb Baptist Bastard Ass could not cash. Just tough shit for him.

You reek of stupidity and ignorance. Before you shoot off about something, take the time to get your terms straight. Look up the definition of the word tort.

We don't reward stupidity with big pay outs, not even in the state of Stupid Drug Addicted Tennessee. The drug addict will get NOTHING, now you go look up the "Clean Hands Doctrine" you Tennessee fool.
We don't negotiate with terrorist either. If that jackass was not on drugs and breaking the laws of our land he would have never been put in that position. He caused his own demise by being drug addicted, stoned and STUPID. You just don't get paid for being STUPID even in the Obama Administration in Tennessee!

I see you're looking for your daily dose of heartless mockery, Mikey.

He was in fact trading sex for drugs. The anger comes from the fact that he could do nothing as his son was repeatedly gang raped in jail and now has hepatitis C.

That crippled junkie will get NOTHING! He got what he deserved already. STUPID HURTS! The sooner you learn that the better.
#24 May 28, 2012
You're so wrong. He and everyone he knows will live the rest of their lives with unlimited cash. Who will foot the bill? You will as a Sevier County taxpayer. Who do you blame? I'll give you a hint you idiot. The guy laying in a nursing home bed is faultless. Blame the idiot that you and the other Sevier County voters elected as your sheriff. Blame the idiots your sheriff hired to work in the county jail. Hate Ronald McDaniel all you want, because your property taxes on your trailer are going up in order to pay him.

That Baptist Junkie Bastard ain't going to get shit and he can't even pay the filing fees to get it in a Federal Court. If the guy in the hospital bed wasn't a filthy God Damned Baptist Bastard criminal and junkie he would have never even been there. The Good Ole Boys ain't going to pay him shit, not even his medical bills. The best thing that useless piece of shit junkie can do is die. He would be much better off.
#26 May 28, 2012
Spoken like a true Mormon. He doesn't need money for filing fees. From the start he's had attorneys waiting in line to pay those fees.

McDaniel family, stand strong. There are many people in Sevier County who know how corrupt the sheriff's office is and the fat boy at the helm who is responsible for this ineptness at the jail. Larry Waters had better get to writing those checks, with all the zero's at the end. Mr. McDaniel deserves to live out the rest of his days in his own home with his own private medical professionals.
There have been mysterious deaths and all sorts of problems within that jail setting. Sheriff could not find his own anus with a flashlight on a brightly lit summer's day.
Ensure too, that you formulate a written complaint to the TN Board of Nursing, regarding the practice of Tammy Finchum LPN. Yes, they do use LPN's in lieu of RN's for cost sakes. Now it is going to cost them dearly and it should. Finchum should not be dog catcher either. She is lazy and dangerous. Tell the Board of Nursing your story on paper. They will investigate. She should fry too and be barred from practicing again in another setting when they finally let her sorry ass go.

Q: Who's going to fck Hossie and Larry Waters for their lack of professionalism and supervision?
A: Hopefully, the voters.

There is not a damn thing that can be done. You STUPID BAPTIST BASTARDS put you own problems into elected office and now you are stuck with them FOREVER!!!Enjoy your Sevier County STUPIDITY.....you work hard at it!
When you only pay peanuts you are only going to get monkeys to work for you. Stupid Baptist Bastard Monkeys like Cpl.Chris Huskey, Deputy Adam Bohanan and meat head Capt. Michael Hodges better know as the BOLOGNA 3 STOOGES!
K@@K and enjoy the STUPIDITY!!
A Sevier County Sheriff's Department officer was recently suspended after his service weapon discharged inside a convenience store and the round lodged itself into a pack of frozen bologna.
Cpl. Chris Huskey, 40, was placed on administrative leave without pay following the incident at Dunn's Market, 2650 Upper Middle Creek Road, in Sevierville — a popular hangout spot for officers.
Sheriff's Capt. Michael Hodges said Huskey and Deputy Adam Bohanan, 27, were eating and sitting in an office inside the market at about 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 when Huskey's gun went off.
The store was closed at the time and no one else was inside, Hodges said. The men, he said, were on duty and given permission to be in the store by the owner.
Bohanan started a conversation about the difference in the weight of their semi-automatic service weapons.
Both of the officers carried .40-caliber pistols, Hodges said, but Huskey's weapon had a longer barrel and a larger magazine.
Huskey removed his weapon from his holster, unloaded it and handed it to Bohanan.
"Shortly after Bohanan handed it back to him and when he went to reload, there was an accidental discharge," Hodges said.
The .40-caliber round went through a 15-inch computer screen, continued into a nearby cooler and lodged itself in lunchmeat inside the cooler, Hodges said.
The officers, Hodges said, then notified their supervisor.
"When myself and Sheriff (Ron) Seals were told about this, at the sheriff's request, a firearms instructor did a check on the weapon to make sure there wasn't a malfunction," Hodges said. "The weapon was taken from him, and he was not permitted to return to work until he was retrained."
Huskey was suspended without pay for the remainder of that shift and one additional shift, Hodges said — a total of 18 unpaid hours.
Both he and Bohanan were required to pay restitution — about $120 — to the owners to replace the computer screen.
The owners did not request reimbursement for the cooler or lunchmeat, Hodges said.
Huskey, a veteran officer, was hired with the department Aug. 2, 2004.
Bohanan was hired with the department June 12, 2006.
A woman who answered the phone at the store Tuesday said she was the owner but declined comment on the incident.

That's the kind of justice that exists in both Sevier and Sullivan Counties. Had I carried my legally concealed firearm into a store that didn't prohibit my firearm possession and it had discharged accidentally, I would have been charged with reckless endangerment, and I'd be guilty. WTF?
