Why is it that all we can ever do is patch here, patch there, all our roads match everything else that has become a daily eyesore to our town, I have talked to many who visit our little town, and while they say it is nice, they also say it looks trashy, just one I would love to see our roads be nice and free of pot holes all over the place, the people in charge of our money here at the beach need to do a better job of starting a project and finishing it, then moving on to a new challenge..We can only Hope.

Maybe if we all start complaining at the same time, things will start getting done, so we wont have to complain, also I am using my name on here, not some fake name so people don't know who I am, but whatever...

I have counted 5 complaints from you in the last 5 hours. That's pretty good. Tell me though... Does all this nagging actually work? I've been nagging my husband for years and usually to get things done its best if I do something more than nag. Just saying I've never gotten anywhere with this method (as I am sure most wives can attest to.) but maybe I am missing something.

Oh and for using my real name, I care about people stealing my info so I do not put my personal info on the world wide Internet. I will though use the same alias as I stand by what I say, but I give you kudos for not being nervous about how much you put on the web. It's so easy for identity theft that I just don't trust enough to put more info out there. I wish I could.

Nascent, the trick in regard to your husband is to do something LESS than nag, not more.

It does no good to talk to the town manager. I know for a fact that Bill did just that, and received the same old song and dance she does so well.

Pretty sure no one is going to steal your identity using your name alone. That information is on google, the phone book and your mail. You need much more information than just a name to steal an identity.

Besides that, who would steal the identity of anyone from CB topix? LoL.

Wouldn't posting your real name be a starting point for obtaining all the other public information that you mention?

Public information is public information. Has nothing to do with SSN, banks etc.etc.

If you're going to search for the public information on someone you would normally start with a name. If someone posts anonymously, who you gonna call to get their address and phone number Jesse?

Go to--White pages and type in your name and state or town, they will give you your phone number, map to your house, and for $29.95 they can get all records on you they want.

All this information you speak of,is useless without the information that is not public such as bank passwords, your SSN and other "secret" personal information. Public information is useless when it comes to stealing your identity. If public information was so detrimental to your life, it wouldn't be public information.....

Think about it.

I just want to know if the town will EVER fix the corner or Lynhaven and Livingston.... (just behind bank) There has been a hole there for years and it's just a serious traffic hazard with people going around it all the time.

If you haven't, how about reporting this to the town, instead of bitching!!!
