School Board Write In

Citizens of Colonial Beach: Tomorrow is an important day for our Town. I do not have the time to serve in any official capacity to the Town of Colonial Beach due to my obligations elsewhere. I will request you write in John Gray for School Board. I have chosen the school board as it means most to myself and the future of this town. Mayor is, let's call a spade a spade here, Worthless. Town Council, we are not getting anywhere with this route...can't pass a resolution on ETHICS? Name one thing the Clowncil has done since the last election?
I am willing to give up my one man multi-dollar Corporation and serve this Town in a capacity that really matters, the School Board. I attended my son's Kindergarten classes Fall Festival last week. I was privileged to sit at my son's assigned table and took the time to chew the fat with his tablemates. I walked away with a tear in my eye, had to take a knee after the event was finished.
Ms. Wessel and Ms. Drummond, I wish more of the Town was there. The first year Teacher Ms. Wessel and a seasoned Vet, Ms. Drummond put on a great class. Ms. Wessel read to us a very nice story to the class, with an emphasis on theatrics, along with understanding the story, Ms. Drummond, ever so helpful. Watch Ms. Drummond call Bingo sometime, though the students were playing for candied corn and eraser heads, I was shocked that ESPN was not on GAMEDAY for Kindergarten Bingo. Shame on you ESPN, Top 10 highlights of the day.
The future of Colonial Beach rests in the hands of our students. In 30 years 75% of this Town will be dead. Where does that leave my son and the rest of the green table from Ms. Wessel? The yellow table, or the blue table?
For the parents of Green table, I told your kids all the secrets of hiding Halloween candy from siblings and parents alike. You can thank me or hate me later for that one.
There is NO future for our students here in Colonial Beach. They will go off and never return. What jobs should they come back to? We must change this NOW. We need to stop being short-sighted on this manner. Colonial Beach is the half-way house of the US of A and it stops NOW. If you value our Town, then it stops NOW. Our children need to come back to this Town and carry on where we have left off. No one really light up Topix when Dr. Power left this school system. Half-way house for her. We are Southern, never trust a Yankee, and never hire a Yankee with a New York draw. We fellow Citizens are Southern, we drink our tea sweet, dresses are low and we do not ever hire a Yankee that will leave us as soon as another "Opportunity" arises.
Do you think Ms. Wessel will be here in five years? She is from Pennsylvania. Go research the requirements of Pennsylvania to teach. I want Ms. Wessel here when the Green table moves on to High School. The Town of Colonial Beach needs teachers like Ms. Wessel and other nameless teachers to guide them through this rough period of their lives.
Our "children" are making decisions that effect the rest of their lives NOW. Whether they live to 20 or 100. The choices they make, will either reward them or haunt them. My goals are simple if so deemed worthy of a fill in the blank slot tomorrow
Science....Lets make thermite, show these children there is more to chemistry than polymers. Let them make black powder and understand the science behind it.
Math...there is an app for that. Until the power goes out
English...We speak English around here, not bingo as in B4. Texting is not a language Fortune 500 or even Fortune 1,000,000 Companies use.
History...Do we really need to examine the cause of Communism in the 40's through the 70's and how that applies to us today? Yes, everyone does. Answer me this trivia question for 100 internet points, Why do we have daylight savings time?
Art...Creative release from the stress of studies that help schoolwork.
I failed at school, OUR CHILDREN WILL NOT!

Maybe you are having your eyes opened as a father to the joys of fatherhood. But you still have a lot to learn about humility, being more positive. I don't think I would want you influencing my children with your arrogant attitude.

I have been informed by a representative of the Westmoreland County Registrar of Voters the following three persons are the three top recipients of votes in the Colonial Beach School Board election on November 6, 2012:
Exact vote counts have yet to be certified, but I have been assured these three persons will be the ones that survive the final process.
