You need to ask the Police Department why they only have one Officer working the night shift when they have a total of twelve sworn Officers.
Not only the golf carts but, the shop, shed breakins in the Meadows.

Sounds like an item one of our local reporters should pursue.

Did the police have Carters tow yours? If so how much did they charge you. I had mine stolen also and the police towed it there.

Too many chiefs and not enough indians. They need to spend more time on the streets.

Just FYI if your vehicle is stolen and in this case your golf cart is legally a vehicle, by va state law the towing company can't charge you within a certain time frame.

Why didn't the police have it towed to a location selected by the owner (her residence or a repair shop?

Maybe the people of colonial beach should start locking their golf carts up along with cars they may not get thing stolen. Everyone knows one key will fit any club car. Common sense is the key here. Lock your things up even if it is with a chain. And stop blaming the PD they can not be everywhere at the same time. Things have changed from the good ole days, they are gone and never to return.

You are so right Reberto, you have to protect yourself, and not depend on the Police Dept to help you make this a safe place to live. Cameras would be a great help. Lets all get cameras and then when we get information, call the Westmoreland Sheriff with the results. CBPD is useless. Nice guys, but useless.
