Metis, I am talking about school kids with allowances. Do kids still get allowances.
Did you ever go to the bakery after school and get a treat. Fresh and delicious.
Now its a twinkie at 7*11
Maybe one day a week he could do school kids specials.

Yep. Would stop for a cup of joe for 10 cents at the Triangle Restaurant on the way back from delivering my route. Once a week would stop by the Horn & Hardart for a treat, then pull up a chair in front of Rocky & Bullwinkle while I warmed up before I hit the books.

I was very happy to see a bakery in Colonial Beach. I hope they succeed with their business. The community should be supportive. You can draw more flys with honey than you do with vineger as I was taught.

A couple of the items I have had there were not good. Way overpriced for CB. I called to ask the owner to call me back about some very bad cupcakes I bought and never received a response. Also went to the bakery, and ask again, and still no response. Not a good way to impress customers and start a small town business. I won't go back.

The owners have to realize we know what good pastry and bread is. Their prices are to pricy.
I got a very dry brownie, I had to throw it away.
We need you, please serve the folks of Colonial Beach. I know your overhead is high, but you would make a living if you gave us lower prices, and sell more. We really want to support you, but you have to understand your market.

I had ordered a cake and it was dry dry dry. I could have made a better cake than that. Also they told me to go to food lion. Maybe a joke but not good for just opening. Would think they would be more nice. The iceing was good. Would love to see donuts too..

If you want delicious desserts (and food), join the AARP. The group meets at King George Citizens' Center at 11:30 on the first Monday of each month. Several from Colonial Beach attend. Dues are $3.00 per year. Good food and entertainment or informative programs. Door prizes.
