Linda will do a good job in the council.

More women in government is needed at all levels.

It's very clear that the answer to the police department crisis is to bring in a female chief like in DC.

Too bad I happen to know Mrs. Brubaker very well and for you to put wrong information on a public website is I believe SLANDER. Her husband is a 19 year retired Prince George's County police officer!! She did not run up any credit cards from her dying father, too bad he was dead LONG before they decided to even buy that condo. You obviously know nothing about The Brubaker's so therefore I can only assume that you are jealous. Or maybe with your 6th grade education you are not smart enough to realize maybe she is exactly what this town needs!!

Mr. Edwards, could you please explain why you voted against having her on the council?
There were 2 qualified candidates...and then there was Burkett Lyburn. Edwards voted for Lyburn. He also abstained from the vote to dump Blevins (excuse me, "accept his resignation"). Those 2 things tell you what kind of guy Edwards is.

How do you know he voted for Lyburn? They did not say that in the open meeting.

Congratulation must be offered to Mr. Burbaker's appointment to the Council. Thank you for stepping forward and accepting this responsibility. While there appears that some of our neighbors have decided to wait to second guess the town council's decision after the announcement, I would suggest to them the, the time to raise objections is before not after. Everyone should have known that someone would be selected to fill the open seat. However, it's is a fair criticism that the process of whom and how a person was nominated was not announced before hand and the notice to vote on a nominee was very short.

That being said, A firm thank you from this taxpayer to the Town Council's decision to end nepotism in our Police Department.

Of course Brubaker was appointed. Mike Ham's seat was empty due to the fact that he won the mayor's seat. Read the town charter, you appoint someone until the next regular election.

MS. Brubaker was appointed properly. If anyone had issues with the process, they should have put themselves up for the position.

How does one apply to be on this board? Several of us are interested in this position?

Sometimes, folks are looking for a fight when there is none to be had. Yes Ms. Brubaker was appointed to Mr. Ham's seat. I voted for Mr. Ham and I was aware that an appointment would be made. Must admit, I am not familiar with the town charter, but Town Code states a vacant seat will be filled within 30 day. It is silent on process and of course, you are correct, she was appointed properly. And again, she should be thanked for stepping forward. The only point I was trying to suggest that a little more daylight on the process would have been nice. I wish Ms. Godspeed

Abby. What is going on in the Beach Politics? I see all this posting. I really think the Beach is moving in the right direction and concrads to new council members As you know I am always here to lend a hand or even have my fellow congressional pull here to give advise. At the present time I am lobbying my buddies ion Capital Hill and they will be intouch with Mayor Ham to address Grant to rebuild Board Walk.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Scorpio

Emotional tension is in the air today, making it a fraught but exciting day. The fur could really fly between you and someone you fancy, especially if you aren't yet having a sexual relationship with them. Try to channel all this energy into positive directions, such as doing something creative or transforming. It will also help to keep active.
