The discussions for CB are ongoing. I've recommended having it tomorrow, but I'll defer to those that know for sure if the streets are sufficiently cleared of debris to make it safe. When I hear anything, I'll post.

Your neighborhood should be a great place to take your kids

Westmoreland county is having trick or treating as scheduled. Tim, at this point it has already been posted in multiple places that trick or treating is off, changing it now doesn't leave much time to let everyone know it is back on.

Not sure why cancelled..seems parents would police their own. Typical government telling you what is best. Little premature on their part.

I agree it isn't looking good. We'll see what happens in the AM.

Remember Tim, candy marked "Fun Size" isn't all that much fun for a kid, go full size and let's rot some teeth!

Happy Samhain to all!
Even to those who suffer from samhainophobia

If you ask me I think cancleing trick or treating is dumb cause colonial beach has no damage so I don't know why you all would call off trick or treating.

It was suggested to be cancelled or postponed because the original forcasts were much worse than we recieved. Emergency Operations Centers were advising to expect pawer outages for several days along with lingering high winds and dangerous situations with trees down and etc. We are fortunate to have not gotten what was expected. I applaud the decision makers for thinking ahead and advising it may be cancelled or postponed. I also applaud all the public safety and town officials for re-assessing the conditions and going forward with trick or treating as planned.
